Tommy Haas has just lost in the final of Halle Open to Federer.  A few years ago he'd fallen off the rankings (http://www.atpworldtour.com/Tennis/Players/Top-Players/Tommy-Haas.aspx?t=rh) and looked like he was going to retire.  However, he's in a rich vein of form and he'll be seeded for Wimbledon this year (12th seed?).

He's 130/1 on betfair to win, and I do think he'll progress through a few rounds and then the bet can be laid off.  Maybe worth waiting for the draw next week and then deciding if there's any value there?

We got any early thoughts on Wimbledon?  I've got a suggestion, but would like the tennis aficionados to give their opinions.

We need to sign a goalkeeper soon or we'll really struggle...

Good news from the golf.

Pan has slipped to 4 over, so Good news for the Kim bet.  Stenson now only 3 off the lead.

Morning lads.

How much have we won since Mere took over? Not exact, just to the nearest hundred pounds.

PS - Loving the golf sweat.

Tighty surely Cuthbert's a certainty over Zebo, he's only just joined the tour, surely can't walk into the team. It is the same guy who didn't pick him in the squad first up picking the team remember. Depressing how few Englishmen but can't argue with it

What was the outcome of the Lions captain bet?

I heard somewhere Warburton is not sure to play in the First Test,

Fred's bet was Tour Captain so that was paid.
Other people have bet on a different market which is the captain for the first test. Today's match will probably determine if he starts.

After 7 minutes The Lions lead 10-0 and are threatening again.

Ah good.

Last I saw the bookie (Ladbrokes?) were claiming it was who the captain in the first test was, even tho the market was "tour captain"

They succombed to (thread) pressure and paid out everyone including those that hadn't moaned yet.

Kramnik came well prepared today and drew comfortably. He's on the scoreboard.

He also brought an interesting thing with him today. Mamedyarov, his opponent, looks impressed.

Colsaerts - he of the triple G - is level through (note, not Thru; we are above that. Mere, you don't have to pretend to be Tikay) four holes.

Nothing unspectacular there.

Double bogey
Eagle
Bogey
Birdie

Obviously going a little too much with what's in his pants.

Welll said Spurs Bloke as to "thru".

I was most disappointed in Mr Mere allowing standards to drop in my absence.

"Thru" indeed.

Think we've just seen the Derby winner.

Is Screen Critic in the thread's portfolio?
