Fred is going double SP if Animal Kingdom wins by more than 2 lengths. Worth a pop?

Say the horse is evens it has a 50% chance of winning.  By backing it at 2/1 we saying two thirds of the time he wins, he wins by more than 2 lengths.  I have looked at the distance he wins, and that suggests a bet, but I think that is variance and races are won by less than 2 lengths more often than 1 race in 3.  I'd also expect shannigans if it wins by exactly 2 lengths too.  Not for me, but maybe somebody can do the stats better.

Canberra

Heavy rain and sleet, cold too

this is the pitch

The Total Points markets are unchanged since I looked last night, a couple of pips in at a couple of places but apart from that....no change

Take a look at under 48.5 Ladbrokes

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/lions-tour/brumbies-v-lions/total-points

Match starts 10.40am

Not sure if you did Brumbies with the 11 point spread, but this is an extra/alternative

Shouldn't be condusive to tries, Lions not playing a first choice kicker....

5 minutes ago on the touchline

I think we need to bet against the Lions
I favour the outright but should we take the handicap.

Recommendation, please.

Wet weather favours a close game and the Brumbies have a good positional/kicking game. Depends how nitty you want to be

Famous last words, can't see too many tries either

He who hesitates is usually tikay. However on this occasion it's me.
I decided to bet both and have miissed the price.

However, I have placed £10 at 3/1 on Brumbies and £22 at 10/11 on Brumbies+11.

I'll take the blame for the former and Tighty for the latter.
Let me know before kick-off if this is not acceptable.

Surely you missed the prices, Lions drifted last couple days- everyone is against them, would suggest they are probably underrated at the current prices rather than overrated.

Still looks decent to me.
We shall see but you're right that getting on earlier would have been better.

Paddy Power are offering money back if Animal Kingdom wins the Queen Anne.

This is also a good way race.

I have did a few calcs that I talked about last night here

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=61477.msg1794041#msg1794041

I have just redone the calcs, and the 12/1 (14.75 Betfair) about Trade Storm is now the best bet.  The offer more than makes up for the bad price.

It is also a good e/w race, so suggest £25 e/w Trade Storm in the Queen Anne with Paddy Power

I have posted some Ascot thoughts. Obviously Joe and I are keen to get sign-ups for Betting Emporium but I think a lot of Fred regs have already signed-up. Hopefully, (if you can read what is there), you'll think I've found some interesting outsiders and I'll be very happy if Fred gets a winner from me. If you have any free bets you may want to use them but I have bet each-way.
