Really want to be against England in the cricket. It's the worst international squad I've ever seen us pick, just worried New Zealand at end of long tour and been on the beers. If I knew thy were 100% committed would be a max bet at odds against for each game

Some mug agrees with you. Written yesterday

http://www.betpal.com/england-v-new-zealand-t20-cricket-betting-preview

Nice piece, Rich.

Would love to know how many different "roles" & gigs you have in poker & sport. If the line is 7-8, I'm on the overs.

Some updates on various long term bets

1 Baseball

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/standings/?eref=sinav

We have the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox to win the AL East, and Tampa to go on and win the AL and World Series

I am not sure if anyone is following it but the American League East is incredibly competititve this year

Boston Lead, but all teams are within 5.5 games of the lead

Take a look at the Toronto Blue Jays. Started terribly and recently won 12 in a row, and recently have won 9 out of 10, to haul themselves into contention

Any side can win this division, all the teams can beat each other in inter-division play and it is goin to come back to the health of the starting rotations and who hits form in the run to October......

In the AL Central we have the Kansas City Royals who remain 5-7 games heing the big favourites the Detroit Tigers. With the play off Wild card ikely to come out of the East or West, The Royals need to win this division for the bet to have a chance and this is looking unlikely, albeit Singhee was on the right track because the Royals, perennial basement dwellers with a low budget, are much improved this year

The AL East has every team with a 50% or better record. It's an insanely tough division this year.

Must be too late?  If it is a likely non runner, someone will have helped themselves to the free money.

Tighty sayed it hadn't been matched earlier today. No info as to him being a possible non but best to remove if still unmatched.

OK, if - IF - I can access Betfair from here, I will take it down, whatever that means.

Have asked the Misclick Dept to be on standby, this could be epic.

I can see the betfair market from Vegas, and there is nothing on the back side.  I am reasonably sure somebody has sharked us.

Paddy Power have a Football Special as to which team will score the most goals of the opening weekend of the Premier League. Chelsea are at home to Hull - they are 9/2. Seems a good punt to me - anyone have any thoughts? Next best is Man City (away to Cardiff) at 6/1. Likely to be one of those two surely? Maybe have a bit on each?

Man City are at Newcastle.

Lol yes I was looking at the wrong part of the screen for City! Even more of a reason to go for Chelsea then.

Chelsea sign Andre Schurrle, 9/2 still available. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

New Zealand scored 201/4 in the T20i and it could have been more.
They are clear favourites now.

9/2 favs in a 20 runner field, meh.

Man City 3-2 Southampton
Wigan 0-2 Chelsea
Newcastle 2-1 Tottenham
Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland
Fulham 5-0 Norwich
QPR 0-5 Swansea
Reading 1-1 Stoke
West Brom 3-0 Liverpool
West Ham 1-0 Aston Villa

That's last years opening weekend results. Swansea and Fulham joint winners. The previous year to that, (Chelsea 6 WBA 0) won with (Wigan 0 Blackpool 4) coming 2nd. Results tend to be strange.
I'm not tempted by 9/2.
Whilst we are on the Premiership though, I'm personally very sweet on Arsenal (maybe e/w) @ 12/1 for the Prem. The 3 teams above them all have new managers and if Arsenal sign Higuain or someone of that ilk, then I think they can have a real go.

Tevez has just signed for Juve according to breaking news on BBC.

In a game that fluctuated wildly, New Zealand won by 5 runs.

Chelsea almost never scored a lot of goals under Mourinho last time.  He tends not to run up scores as such so I wouldnt be that keen.

Just wondered what people thought of the Paddy Power "Money back Murray offer" (upto £100 cash refund if Murray wins) as a companion to our Murray bet ?. They go 5/6 Djokovic.
