Muirfield seems to be playing easier this morning - 4 or 5 players have carded 3 under after 8 or 9 holes.

Been that way all week due to watering. When the sun and breeze dry it out it becomes crispier and harder. Hopefully early enough to target Lawrie Wink

Good luck today to the bicycle bloke in the TdF, Quintana (sp), who was stuck up several months ago by cheapwetsuit, @ 33/1.

The bet was only accepted because cws was a newbie, & we try to give all newbies a free first bet. He got a bit of stick, too, from several, but took it with dignity.

He has turned out to be a top chap, very knowledgeable on bike stuff, & we hope he'll be around for a very long time.

A Chompy rebuff I recall...how ironic!

At last, proof, from the man himself, & author of a book on racing.

Morning Mr T.

This afternoon Huddersfield host Castleford in the Super League. A couple of months ago we would be looking at a 50 point win for Huddersfield as the value bet. However with a new coach Castleford have become a reasonable side and can be expected to be competitive. They are not without a chance, and I would suggest backing them if they were at home. Last weeks match against Warrington showed the frailties within the Huddersfield side and they looked vulnerable across their whole team.

Over the last few weeks Castleford have scored an average of over 4 tries a game and they could do so today and so I would suggest we back Justin Carney to score at anytime today. His record this year is 12 tries in 14 matches and is a fearsome player. Apparently he asks the coach to tell him who will not be playing at the weekend so he can batter them in training.

Suggest Carney anytime try scorer £15 @ 5/4 with Ladbrokes.

Morning Milky.

We are on, but we only got 6/5.

Full confirmation to follow, but....

Justin Carney to score a Try, Castleford v Huddersfield, £15 @ 6/5, Ladbrokes.

Thanks, and good luck us!

Acknowledging that I've not looked into it in any manner, but on the face of it..

Rafa knows what he is doing in Europe, Reina just signed on loan, cash loaded and will spend (you assume)

Long shot...Napoli @ 50/1 for CL? - e/w to make final?  2nd in Serie A last season

Thoughts?

Agreed a fee for Higuain acc to reports.

They agreed a fee with Arsenal a few weeks ago and gave the player and his agent/father permission to discuss personal terms before deciding to bump the price when everone seemed to think it was a done deal.

This is a strange one.

World Swimming Championships in Barcelona have started. I seem to remember Fred had some success in the Olympic swimming last year. Corals seem to be the only odds makers at the moment.

Any opportunities? I'll be watching, but not up to speed on current form.

Top Scot

Lawrie, -2 after 5, so +5 overall

Gallacher -1 after 16, so +8 overall

Ramsay level after 12, so +9 overall

Laird +1 after 17, so +10 overall

Ooh, excellent spot. Will have a good look at this tomorrow. I know nothing about racing, but my swimming man has some interesting theories.
