Just an incredible talent for a 17 years old isn't she, that tee shot to 3 feet on the par three when playing last with the US about 6 feet away was fantastic.
the swearing was a bit rustic wasn't it tho I was loving the broad Yorkshire caddies dulcet tones. Really liked the exchange on the last when he said sum mat like ' it's a good club this un', just trust it and finish on a good un' and she actually said thank you before whacking it over the green and he set off walking muttering great shot, bleedin wind.
do you think the amount of time it is taking to finish the games is a bit ridiculous tho?
Yes.
I can only assume they do not put players or games "on the clock" in these affairs?

As you inform me it is a veritable desert near Wakefield we can play the anytime try scorer again. The bookies have not yet got to grips with our friend Justin Carney. He has scored 17 tries in 17 games and is available at 10/11, he should be 1/3 or less in any game that has a reasonable expectancy of at least average points being scored. As a comparison Shenton has scored 4 tries in 24 games and is priced at 6/4.
Suggest £22 Carney to score a try @ 10/11 with Betvictor.
Please note Mr T he plays for Castleford, just around the corner from Wakefield.

*Clears throat*
Adz is right.
Magnum opus is your great work; it is generally an artist (writer)'s defining work, but with the condition that is also one of their biggest.
Canterbury Tales, War and Peace, Ulysses, Paradise Lost, Ricky Villa in 1981 and so on.
That wasn't the writer's intention, though, so it's a 'no fault' situation IMO. Superbly written, might I add?
*Clears throat*
I thought Rich was opening his ice cream.
PS Tony, Loving the Solheim Cup too. I think I might be in love with Charley Hull.
Bit young for you Phil - she is, incredibly (I had to check twice) just 17.
Introduced to golf at the age of two, according to Wiki.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley_Hull
Did you hear the Swedish (?) golfer utter an f-based expletive when she missed a putt yesterday?! Quick apology from the commentators followed. Know I'm old-fashioned, but I don't like to hear young ladies uttering profanities.
I believe it was the US based Englishwoman Jodi Ewart-Shadoff who hails from Yorkshire originally and grew up as part of a horse-racing family.
Yes, but she swore with a Swedish accent.
There must have been a few instances then as Ewan Murray deffo apologised for Jodi's language.
Those Scandies do love to swear in English be they golfers, footballers, or poker players.

The serious answer (my version) would be that nothing has changed after one game, it is pretty much as you were.
I saw one Team yesterday described as "certain to go down after that performance". Afrer one game.
Incidentally, today sees the rarity of a Premier League game where one Team is 18/1 to win, & tomorrow there is an 11/1 version. Extraordinary.

I know Wakefield very well actually, but I can't recall ever visiting Castleford.
We are on Mr Carney, lets play the rush!

They lost at home, hence they are 2 points away from where you'd expect them to be on average. Hence they should be bigger, so unless the change in price is bigger than the expected reaction you shouldn't pile in.

The Wie putting style is fairly new and has apparently moved her up the ladies putting rankings by a fair bit. I can't help thinking that it must put terrible strain on her back.
Yes, agree, but if it is improving her game, good luck to her.
In golf, the textbook swings, grips & stances are well established, but it is remarkable how many golfers eschew the textbook & have really bad - well,
unconventional
- swings & grips - & still succeed.
Wiggle Waggle & Furyk are perfect examples - immensely successful, but if you took those swings to a Golf Coach he'd look at it in horror.
I quite like unconventional styles. Reminds me a little of poker, where we see players who play unconventionally -
technically bad
according the the younger generation - still manage to hold their own. Folks like Larence Gosney, for example, or Rastafish, get castigated left right & centre, but they do OK it seems to me.
Piggott rode too long, Chris Eubank held his hands too low, Connor introduced the then oddity of a double handed backhand, Botham was a terrible bowler yet took wickets galore with bad balls. Lordy Lordy, some memories there.
Ronan raferty
Blimey, you have a long memory.
True story:
I once bumped bottoms with Ronan Rafferty and he immediately remarked "after you mate"
5pts if you can guess the context.
Channing barred from entering the competition, he might have been there when it happened.

Chelsea at home today vs Hull
Jose's return today. Surely Hull Tigers wont spoil the party. PaddyPower/Laddies/Will Hill have Chelsea at 2/9. I know its odds on, but is this not value? I would have thought 1/6 would be nearer the mark.
Suggest a max bet, but only once we have had approval from those that know better than myself.

Bet Sizing
From time to time, I get asked "why don't you bet bigger when (any winning regular) suggests a bet of, say, £20, & you have reasonable expectations that the bet is good?"
Bit of a dilemma that, & arguably self-defeating.
Two good examples are hector & Scotty.
Both know their onions, & we back them blind. But hector has repeatedly stated that he feels uncomfy when people bet big on his selections, & he feels an unpleasant weight of expectation. I honestly think if we put, say, £100 on, when he suggests £20, he'd consider not giving tips.
Scotty said this week that he "feels bad" when he tips losers (it was a Greyhound) so he Posts his Greyhound selections in another thread now. Yesterday, or early this morning, he saw fit to apologise because a MMA selection lost.
Illogical really, we are all grown ups, but nonetheless understandable.
I generally have a bit extra on hector's selections, "on the side". I used to send him a PM to thank him, but he'd say, words to the effect, "I don't like it when you bet so much on my selections".
Bit awkward really. I would deffo up the stakes on some of these examples, & we'd make more money, but we may end up kililng the goose. And we rather like our golden hued geese.

Personally, until the Teams settle down, I'm not sure I'd want to go Max on a 2/9 (or 1/6) shot.
Like you, though, I defer to those who understand these things better.
