The bet was placed early this morning, and reported as such on this thread, and on the Spreadsheet.

I couldn't disagree more about that Belgium bet. They are plenty short enough as it is at 20-1.

Here is a World Cup bet for you.

Typically only four teams win the World cup. They are Italy, Argentina, Germany and Brazil other than that the host nation will win it, ie France 98, England 66, Uruguay 1930s something, I wouldn't back Belgium to win the Euros with that team, never mind win a World Cup, (price dependant of course). I know Spain are an exception to this rule when the tourny was held in South Africa. I don't actually think Belguim have ever won the Euros? The World Cup when held in South America, has only ever been won by a nation from there which leaves you with 2 from Brazil and Argentina following this rule.

If you want impressive recent results, take a look at Argentina, beat Germany away 3-0, beat Italy away 2-1 the other week, without Messi. You will also find the coach, when Messi has been playing, has now changed the team to revolve around him. In the past, you are correct in saying he has been poor for Argentina, but more research will show you he is now the kingpin so to speak and is performing much better. They have an abundance of talent to choose from, particularly up front and a lot of the team including Messi, are approaching their peak, at 27-28. I dont expect Brazil to win, I expect Neymar to do a Ronaldo like in 98, and collapse under the weight of expectation and at 20 it is a bit much to ask for him to carry a team, which isn't the best of Brazil sides.

i have been backing Argentina for the last 1 and a half years with various doubles and trebles and have been fortunate to get 6-1 in the past. I aim to make a big 5 figure sum, by the time next years World Cup is upon us.

Recommend MAX BET (Whatever that is for thread)

ARGENTINA to win the World Cup 2014!!

how about laying me belgium as top euro team at 20s?

Sorry I misread what you said, and im not interested either anyway in laying you anything. 20s available for a win at euro 2016 though if you are so keen.

Finished a draw@ celtic.

Everyone happy, probably.

very good bet, well done henrik

+1, thanks Sandy.

Not the bet i'd take greatest pleasure in but at the end of the day it'll make no difference to the league and makes some money.

This looks a cracking each way bet getting half odds for a final.  It looks much better than the same odds for the World Cup.  Suggest £20 each way for the long sweat Tikay.

Edit.  Obviously more time to add a couple of full backs too!

The missing link is reportedly set to earn £310K per week at Real Madrid.

Evening Tikay.

I don't know if you are up, but I think there is an excellent each way bet in the Barclays Golf.

The leaderboard reads
Matt Kuchar -12
Gary Woodland -12
Kevin Chapell -11
Two on -8 including Tiger Woods
Seven on -7 including Jim Furyk and Bubba Watson.

Chappell doesn't look that great with a couple of 2nds and a couple of 3rds on the PGA tour since touring pro in 2008, and a fair few recent missed cuts.  He was a strong collegiate player before that.

The betting is 11/8 Kuchar, 3/1 Woodland, 8/1 Woods, 9/1 Chapell.  That all looks understandable looking at Chapell's record and quite a few recent missed cuts.  9/1 is roughly where he is on Betfair too.

But why we have to bet him is that Coral are offering quarter the odds first three.  With that distribution of scores, 9/4 the place looks a steal, so we must put our betting boots on.

Suggest £40 each way Kevin Chapell in The Barclays at 9/1 with Corals.

Gonna be a good sweat this season, as long as Assombalongalonga and Nikhi Nakhi avoid injury, and the latter isn't sold. What was the sory with Leigh Griffiths not statring for Solfs last night anyone?

Not quite true what Parko sayed, though, Poshies made at least two bids for Nick-Nacks this summer. That would have been some strike-force with Fatty Tomlin in behind.

Toying with the idea of putting Poshies up at 12-1 for the Johnston's Paintpot.

We have a bye to round 2 and are going to be favourites whoever we play, wherever we play, at whatever stage of the tourney.

Darragh has sayed he wants a trophy this year and there's no doubt we have the squad to be able to put out a strong XI for this. It won't be first priority, but then that's true for all teams.

We're straight into the last 16 of the southern section, so are only four ties away from Wemberley. Wolfs are in the northern section.
