Tiger Cliff looking unlikely for The Ces.

Fav option seems to be a Stayers race on Champions Day the week after, and Ponsonby the owner looking at Lt Miller being his Ces rep.

No Likey!

Yuh, Listed race then back to hurdles looks the favoured option. Don't undertand it myself. In other potentially bad news for threadites, Harry Redknapp is a fan of Nikhi Nakhi and wants to bring the boy to QPR for free mill-yan.

Back to Poshies v Royals, both sides have scored 11 goals in their last three League Cup matches. Old-woman Adkins is expected to ring the changes for tonight, so there could well be plenty of goals.

Crazy scenes again, oi oi.

Wasn't expecting Reading to make nine changes tbf, but even then they had some names on the pitch. They were as poor as Poshies were incred.

Shut that transfer window NOW!

Apparently Paul Walsh sayed on Sky that the first three goals were of much higher standard than he'd expect from Posh. Which of the other 20 goals scored already this season was he referring to?

standard from Walsh

for some reason he always gets the championship game (or league one) and then proceeds to spend the 90 minutes saying "im not sure who that was"

try doing a little research Paul

Yes he said something along the lines of you would not have seen football like this before

College football season start this weekend.

Our boy Marcus Mariota plays Saturday in what should be a ridiculously one sided affair. As Oregon play the might of Nicholls State (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholls_State_Colonels_football) at home. Oregon are 59 point favourites for the game which will be one of the biggest spreads of the year if not the biggest.

Tbh the game is a bit of joke and I only expect Mariota to play the 1st half and maybe even less. So hopefully he will look sharp and avoid injury.

The bigger interest for the bet is what happens to the other leading candidates around the country. Especially if Johnny Manziel plays Texas A&M opener against Rice, this is still very much up in the air from what I understand.

We have a free bet to use this week on BetFred.  I really wanted to back Furyk in the golf, as he is on a streak of top 10 finishes, but BetFred have put up a terrible price, so we have to give it a miss.  I don't even think he is worth backing each way, as his price at the bookies is quite a way below Betfair, so the maths doesn't work.  Personally I have had a place bet on Betfair at 8.4, but can't really recommend it as a bet away from the free ones.

Instead I think we should back Mickelson.  He has a couple of firsts and seconds this year, and has won this and had a couple of other strong results here.  After a couple of poor results and him feeling tired, he came back strongly in the last round at the weekend.  Presumably he'll want a string finish in the FedEx Cup too.   But the most important thing is that he is top price with BetFred.

Suggest £25 free bet Mickelson with BetFred at 14/1.

I'll probably have a good luck at the each ways later, but everyone is five places, so don't expect much obvious value.

Doobs.

From a punter friendly perspective you may want to look at Welsh Open as some are still doing top six.

US golf also finishes on Monday due to Labor Day, so no big finish on Sunday.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £752.74

Outstanding Bets £2612.02

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=28

A great profit of £0 yesterday thanks to Chompy's Maximum bet* on Peterborough United to score over 2 goals at London Road which inexplicably was odds-against across the board. This bet came in after 15 minutes as Peterborough stormed to a 6-0 victory over Reading. Well done Chompy*

* - possibly.

Apart from that, the only bet placed was on first goalscorer markets for the Celtic/Karagandy match tonight

Elsewhere, the Rays lost 6-5 to fall 2.5 games behind the Red Sox in the East

East    W    L    Pct    GB    Home    Road    Last 10    Streak
Boston Red Sox    78    55    .586    --    41-23    37-32    6-4    Won 3
Tampa Bay Rays    74    56    .569    2.5    43-25    31-31    5-5    Lost 3
Baltimore Orioles    70    60    .538    6.5    38-29    32-31    5-5    Lost 1

They remain in the leading wild card spot though

Today Middlesex play Somerset in a must win game in LVCC1. Chris Rogers returns to the Middlesex line up and will need to score very heavily in September to rescue our bet

In LVCC2 Northants play Glamorgan. Whilst the title may be beyond them, a win would probably secure an each way return at 20-1

Lookng ahead, September has some losses to take. Tiger Cliff may not run in the Cesarewitch, Durham, Hampshire etc are going to be losing cricket bets. Just as well experts like Chompy continue to find great spots like last night's Peterborough game. Well done again.

Cheers Adz, will have a look at the Welsh Open.  Always too much going on on a Sunday with the poker, so a Monday sweat can't be so bad?

Morning Mr T.

The US Open is going swimmingly, especially so after the defeat of Hot shot Hamish yesterday. With the demise of 3G Fred needs a new Belgian hero so step forward David Goffin known to his friends as " The Director". He plays Dolgopolov later today and I think he should be favourite on this surface.  Not only is he a decent player but he is the spitting image of Cambridge Alex.

Suggest £20 Goffin @ 6/4 with Ladbrokes.

Should be able to get matched at 2.62 (13/8) on Betfair.
