Morning Fred followers

Apologies for the brief hijack, but I know there's some NFL followers on this thread.

I was hoping that I could tempt someone to take the final spot in the blonde Fantasy NFL league this season, joining the likes of Tighty, Camel, bobby1 and newcomer Tal in our 3rd season of banter and abuse.

We need an even number of teams for the auction to run next Tuesday evening and currently have 15 signed up, hence the appeal.

Entry is a mere £20 (there's an option to pay £100 to compete for, effectively, a 'side pot') and more info can be found on the thread http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=54617.msg1832519#msg1832519

Please post on the thread if interested.  I'll be happy to answer any questions as to what's involved, via PM or on the thread itself.

Normal Fred service will now be resumed......

I don't do chess photos on Fred these days, but I thought you might like this one, as it's quiet in these posts momentarily.

This was taken yesterday in the semi finals of one of the biggest tournaments in the game: the world cup. We have Mr Kramnik and Mr Tomaschevsky and a man on the left doing something only familiar to chess players:

More importantly, on to tonight, who is likely to be playing an attacking role for the team that aren't quite as good as a bad Arsenal side?

I am not sure why, but Hills are doing their mobile offer at Hamilton today.  Ground is good/good to firm, draw bias not very significant.  Prices aren't up yet, presumably because it is all a bit Mickey Mouse.  I am going to be busy a lot of the day, but should be good for those who like to nick a bit of value.

I expect Defoe will start tonight. Holtby might get a game, too, after his rather beautiful return for the under 21s against Wham. Maybe AVB will start Adebayor?

Thanks, Adebayor and Defoe would be good for a FGS each way I guess?

Have we had a "Season" bet from Eso Walsall yet?

It will get AUTO-PLACED.

It is unfair that at present, Chompy is the only one getting abused.

They have prices up on the 15.40, and Argaki looks to be worth the usual £25.  The 15.10 looks like a bet to nothing race when they put prices up.  It will have a short price favourite, one that will be 4/1 and the others hopeless.  Sure backing either of he first 2 would be obvious value.

Maybe just put a tenner on Walsall to be promoted and blame Eso anyway?

Might even do that, if he does not put something up.

I really miss abusing him.

Lol at Doobs saying we should be "Redding" out on Barnsley to be relegated.

Will put one up later for my next year long rubdown  Wink

In all seriousness, Adebayor won't be playing tonight. He and Assou-Ekotto seem to have been encouraged to use some spare time to find alternative employment opportunities. Doubt either will even be at the Lane tonight to watch.

The second striker - assuming we rest Soldado - will be Harry Kane. Sigurdsson would be a very likely starter, as he tends to be in European and cup games. Possibly be alongside Carroll, who won't be a scorer tonight, unless something really mad happens.

Lennon won't be risked, I don't think, as be picked up a knock the other day. Townsend got called up to the England squad and he was excellent in the away leg against tired, trailing legs.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £752.74

Outstanding Bets £2602.06

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=28

As you were yesterday, as I am assuming that the Dick Van Dyke goalscorer bets were voided.

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Oroiles so it is as you were in the AL East.

In County Cricket a Mixed day for Middlesex but a decent day for Northants on, sensibly, a result pitch at Northanpton that is greener than the outfield. Unfortunately for another bet Katich was missing from the Lancashire line up versus Hampshire, so thats a run scoring opportunity lost for him

With the signing of Lamela and the just announced bid for Hernandez the shape of Tottenham's transfer business this window is looking like the following

Chadli
Paulinho
Capoue
Soldado
Lamela
Eriksen
Hernandez = approx £108m

Bale
Caulker
Dempsey
Huddlestone
Parker = approx £108m

Got to say, Levy has played a blinder hasn't he? I wonder if we'd have a bet on Arsenal top three in the light of what we know now......Still its more likely than Barnsley finishing top half

In the NCAA Mr Manziel was banged to rights for violating regulations and received the whopping sentence of suspension for a whole half of one game. Not the greatest news for the Texas A and M bet.
