Villarreal win 3-0 again

The Yellow Submarine moved atop the league, for now, with their third straight win to open the season.

end season now

please

I only just clicked (thanks to google) what the frequent "Yellow Submarine" references were.

Looks like a good sweat incoming.

No problem Tighty

Tbf they have had probably the easiest start on paper of any team. They are rumoured to be nibbling a couple of players to add to squad, hopefully the good start will encourage the board to complete these now.

Bilbao play R Madrid this morning (11 o clock kick off) fair to say a draw would be a lovely if unexpected result.

The unexpected is unlikely.

3-1 to RM with 10 minutes to go.

No worries, it is a long road we tread.

Olivier Giroud has scored in 3 games for Arsenal this year.

Paddy Power are offering money back on losing FGS bets if the match ends in a draw.

Paddy Power are top price.

Tal just loves this kind of bet

4
3 great reasons to put the max on Giroud FGS for Arsenal against the team that aren't quite as good as them with Paddy Power.  I guess it will only be £14.21, but let's do it.

You don't guess as well as Camel. My current Max on that bet is........£2.37 EW!

I'm going to leave it another couple of hours, until just before the game, & try again. I tried last night, it was £2.37 then, too.

Incidentally, Ladbrokes go 8/1 Giroud FGS (£25 Max) , which is a standout price (from NOON onwards only) but without the concession. The Betfair price is 8.4. (approx 7/1 after commission).

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/aab2b296-0fc9-11e3-a258-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2dcmgIr24

How does 8/1 without the concession compare to the 6/1 with concession that PP offer? I should add that Ladbrokes are win only, PP are EW.

How much can you get on the nose?  Just take the 8/1, it must be about the same.

Will Hill and Ladbrokes both doing the free bet if 2nd today at the Curragh.  Will be back.

The deed is done, thanks Doobs.

We have £25 @ 8/1, Ladbrokes, on the jolly old conk, Giroud FGS.

Liverpool are favourites against Man U? Jamie Carragher talking about how matches between the big teams are decided by fine lines....top teams?! Even I'm almost too young to remember Liverpool as a top team. I'm putting my betting boots on for 13/10 draw no bet on the Mancs

Man U look huge everywhere? Any thoughts on why?

Think Im going to hope for an early Liverpool goal and then wade in on UTD in running. Probably Ice-creamesque but made good chunks last year doing the same

Defies logic, sentimental money on Shankly's 100th anniversary birthday? No Fergie?

A top team with Van Persie at 5/2 is a price worth taking against a team missing their top striker in Suarez surely?

di canio bet looks good.

captain sent off, best player (sessegon) wants to leave and they look v average and one of the games they would have had as a banker for much needed points and where I gave them 2pts on avg i think they lost.

Their biggest forum turned on Di Canio and the players last night and Di Canio called out individual players for personal criticism.

Assuming Swansea win today they will be bottom of the table, which is already mentally bad. They are 2-1 to get relegated which looks like a bet now to lay in a few weeks and also would keep punting on Di Canio, Newcasle are 11-2 to go down which shows the difference and I dont think Pardew is going anywhere quick.

The newly promoted teams will keep their managers and the likes of Allardyce and Laudrop are certainties to stay imo. Big teams wont fire their managers early either.

Despite them signing 12 players, only 3-4 look worthy of a first team place and even those look very suspect.

Next fixtures (first 2 will be without captain)

Sunderland v Arsenal    Sat 14 Sep    15:00

West Brom v Sunderland    Sat 21 Sep    15:00

October 2013

Sunderland v Man Utd    Sat 5 Oct    17:30

Swansea v Sunderland    Sat 19 Oct    15:00

Sunderland v Newcastle    Sun 27 Oct    16:00

In running? Very occasionally, if we think we can discern value. The Betfair price is almost always about right though, hence we don't often do it.

ANOTHER LEAGUE 1 RELEGATION RECC FROM ESOWALSALL

After the Walsall debacle last year it has taken a great deal of courage to put a recc up but I think we will get a good run on this one although we would have got a better price a couple of weeks ago IMHO I believe this still reps some value.

I am reccomending TRANMERE to be relegated from League 1 at 3/1 Coral

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-1/relegation

At the start of 2013 Tranmere were top of the league or thereabouts and then proceeded to have the run of form that we wanted Walsall to have losing 12 out of 17 and failing to score in their last 6 games of the season.

I waited to see what kind of start they had to the season and so far their league results have been LDLL with a 3-1 drubbing by the Saddlers so that in itself means they must be Tez.

Coventry got docked points at the start of the season but have already eaten into that deficit and the main contenders for the the four spots will be Stevenage, Shrewsbury, Carlisle so believe that at 3/1 we still have a "soupcon" of value ( they were priced between 3/1 WH and 9/2 one place Coral's at the start of the season).

I would obviously recc a max bet but for fear of rebuffal  will recc £50 Tranmere to be relegated at 3/1 Coral, I appreciate we will need Camel's mate who supports Tranmere to give us the nod first like last year on Walsall but hopefully this will restore my thread reputation... (in before obv)

I was just reminded of this, accidentally, by an incoming PM from His EsoKralness.

I DID place the bet, immediately (see below) but forgot to confirm it on the thread.
