feel very lost with the nfl chat

more markets on it than the premiership it seems

Amazing array of markets, look at this bloody lot!

Tighty must think he has died & gone to Heaven when he peruses those.

Just a few

Not quite as many markets in the Macedonia Wales game but i am hopeful of digging something up there

Saw this article about the seemingly annual revision of the scrum laws in rugby union

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/sep/04/irb-new-scrummaging-rules-rfu

Given it's the first week of the Premiership this weekend, is there any scope for a shift in some aspect of the game which could be exploited?

I don't know the extent of markets available for Premiership games but something along the lines of number of scrums per game, or cards (if referees clamp down on players not doing what they're told).

I will be travelling all day tomorrow, so if you were able to find it today, it'd be appreciated.

Still put it up though, even if it is tomorrow, plenty others follow these things.

http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/vuelta-a-espana/vuelta-a-espana-stage-12/winner

Spoilsports, way way out with Tyler Farrar at 51/1 (palp?). He should be in the mix for todays stage, not as sharp as previous years but always close to top 3, with a 4th & 5th earlier in the race. Not got a account there myself. But small EW...

Typo that has now been changed I think - now reads 5/1?

http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/vuelta-a-espana/vuelta-a-espana-stage-12/winner

Incidentally, Betfair offer 9.4, for small money, which IS a ton ool. I helped myself to a small bet @ 9.41, thank you. Fred can have it if agreed BEFORE the price moves south.

Not for Fred imo, preferred the EW top 3 at a bigger price. Farrar has not been a winner this season, pretty much a top 3/5 merchant in the sprints. Hope he scampers home for a win today.

Ahh, thanks Tonji.

You enjoying this year's renewal?

We have a bet on it, I think, King of the Mountains, Mr Txurruka or somesuch? How he doing?

Mr Txurrrr has nil points....

but the KOM really gets going from stage 13 through to 20, so we'll have an idea if there is a sweat from Friday/Saturday.

Work & short breaks have disrupted my viewing this year, but the final week looks like it could be a great finish.

btw The Tour of Britain starts on the 15th-22nd. Sir Brad of Sky will be riding.

England v Moldova on Friday. Should be routine. Therefore I suggest a max bet on England to win to nil @ 9/20.

Priced up much smaller everywhere else and yes it's odds on, but I think it's pinching money personally. We beat them 5-0 away last time (http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries/europe/matches/round=258374/match=300182319/report.html).

Also would suggest two £5 win singles on 7-0 and 8-0 wins which are 50's and 125 with Sporting Bet, not much value on any other scores.

Not sure what max bet is, but suggest on England to win to nil and the two £5 singles.

Good Luck.

What did we decide on this eventually?

Shoetly after it was Posted, Nico29 made a terrific post which EXACTLY represnted my thinking, but then, after chewing it over, I think the view was arrived at that the bet was probably good value?

I probably missed the boat anyway, as I was busy yesterday, & the prices have moved badly against us (so, good spot Aaron), see.....

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/matches/england-v-moldova/to-win-to-nil

Still interested in the Correct Score bets though, as well as the Tighty Post just now.

Missed the boat on win to nil. I was sceptical when I read it, then came to the conclusion Aaron was probably right. Went for a lie down

The correct scores, anytime goalscorer markets are still "go". Pending better than I to push you to press the button

Cue Dubai at some point, please

Brilliant - exactly the situation we might be able to exploit.

Are England going to start Wellbeck ahead of Sturridge do we think?  Sad  Hope that is just due to the thigh strain and not because Hodgeson thinks Wellbeck is a more viable International striker.

No idea. Sturridge touch and go with the thigh. Would be surprised to see him play 90

Can see him going Wellbeck/Defoe with Lambert on the bench

Walcott, Lampard, Gerrard, Cleverly behind

If we think he is starting Defoe, surely we should back Defoe 4/1 FGS, and 9/2 Lambert doesn't look terrible.  Money back if he doesn't play.  I am not convinced Defoe should be longer than Wellbeck.  Bet365 are best prices on both too.  Think I'd go Defoe, Lambert, Wellbeck, Lampard.   Walcott feels like too short.

Andros Townsend anytime @ 3/1? Kid is walking on air atm, debut run out as well against poor full backs.

Possibly.

Not sure the non intenrational markets have the markets in depth for it

In theory, it should lead to less time re-setting scrums, the ball in play more and more time to attack and score points

I'd want to see a few weeks of it first

In some pre-season stuff I heard talk that the ball was in play for about 10 minutes more per game. Even if this is just two or three penalties per that tiem thats 6-9 points onto total points for games

Hills, Ladbrokes doing the same again at Haydock.  I know we had a bad day yesterday, but we shouldn't let that stop us.

In the circumstances the 4.05 is apt.

4.05 £25 win Intansigent 9/4 Hills or Laddies.
3.35 Venue 6/5 Hills
3.00 Rogue Wave 6/4 Hills
2.00 Snow Sky 4/6 Hills

Tighty & I will have limited access to Fred, intermittent at best, from 7am tomorrow through until Monday morning, as we'll both be up in Newcastle all three days, working.

We should be able to action stuff, & keep the Spready reasonably updated, but please give as much notice as possible please, we wont be able to do last minute suuff.

At great cost - to our reputation - the Daily Reports on Saturday & Sunday will be done by a self-proclaimed expert in all matters. Expect them to be filled with Novelty Bet Nonsense. Tighty will have to clear up the mess on Monday.

Thanks Doobs. No, yesterday makes no difference to the long-term viability of these. I'll action them shortly.

If you plan to do them Fri/Sat/Sun, it would be really helpful if you could Post them as early as possible.

Andros Townsend anytime @ 3/1? Kid is walking on air atm, debut run out as well against poor full backs.

Sometimes it helps if people refer to their players and team as we, then u can understand where they come up with such tosh. Next Tal will be recommending some old striker who walks round with his hands in his pockets first goal against Arsenal coz he once played for Spurs
