Does anyone have a view on what the Minny at Detroit line might be on the off?

 Had some internet troubles yesterday and just catching up with thread.

 I would say that if MV/DL moves from the current 4.5 it can only go up. We know that once games are in the 3.5 to 5.5 region we are talking about dead (ish) numbers and it's very easy for them to move on nothing as the bookmakers have way less chance of being middled. The professionals have been very bullish of the Lions on the season wins and bearish of the Vikings. They have reflected this by slightly betting the Lions in this game. With so many good games this week, this looks like an unsexy fixture where the public won't have a big influence betting Minnesota.

 I notice that Pinny are now 5 but I think this could very easily go to 5.5 as a general price with 6 and maybe even 6.5 breaking out on Sunday.

 If I was betting the Vikings I would definitely wait and imo 6.5 would be way too high and I would take that.

One back to you, Giants at Cowboys. Giants +3.5. Do you reckon I might see +4/+5 as the TV punter money goes for Dallas on Sunday?

 On this one I would "normally" expect to see money for the Giants and I would take the 3.5 if I were backing them. However, the Giants have a few injury problems and money has come for the Cowboys. The line is currently at 3.5. I don't see this one pushing towards 4, 4.5 or 5. If it was to move I would expect it to go the other way maybe -3 at -120 the Cowboys.

A profit of £69 yesterday. A decent day all round with Haydock producing a profit of £37 and a free bet from two winners and a second from four bets. Then Leeds beat Wigan comfortably in Northern Rugby, for a £32 profit

In baseball last night the Rays lost to fall six games behind the Red Sox who beat the Yankees in extra innings. The Yankees legendary closer Mariano Rivera blew a save. The Royals won too.Tampa Bay Rays are clinging onto the wild card spot. Games each night through September and its going to be close!

In cricket we had a right result. Middlesex beat Surrey in three days, claiming the extrahalf hour's play last night to try and wrap it up before inclement weather today. Ollie Rayer took 15 wickets for 118 in the match, the best Conty Championship bowling figures for a decade and the eighth best ever.He also took three catches so was involved in 18 of the 20 wickets to fall

The significance of all this is that Middlesex climb back to third as Sussex lost to Durham. Warwickshire the other third place rivals are in a dog-fight with Notts that might get stymied by the weather. If we do eke a each way return out of Middlesex, and we have two games to go, I will remember Mr Rayner
