Bernie Ecclestone, with three random giants?

Yes, that is the towering beast that is usually Bernie Ecclestone. Number three is obviously Carlos Tevez and four Llorente.

Number one is the slightly enhanced figure of Ronaldo, who seems to have more hair than in his heyday

Good Lord. I'd never have got # 1.

Fred has a bet on Janet Yelland in this market I believe...excellent news:

WagerMinds ‏@WagerMinds 12m
Larry Summers, who has reportedly withdrawn his name from consideration for Chair of the Federal Reserve, was a 1/6 favorite to get the job.

JY now 1/8. Just relying on some US politicians to the right thing now - what can possibly go wrong?

For those hoping for a golf sweat this evening, it kicks off at 8am local, 1pm UK.

I think Luke Donald needs 5th for a place in the top 30 in the FedEx Cup.  I don't know if that us good or bad.  He should be playing for 5th, but does that mean his nerves go before he gets there??

Charl Schwartzel is 33/1 on Ladbrokes, 31/1 on Betfair, 5 shots back for an absolute punt on the free bet?  Some of us are on already.

Go on Sneddy, obv.

Thanks Doobs.

Odd you should mention a banzai saver on Schwartzel - I did exactly that myself yesterday, on the advice of a good friend. Think we might get on for Fred, in the manner you advise, too.

I shall be in the studio all afternoon, & probably most of the evening, too, so I'll miss all the fun. Bugger.

Well done on your Day One effort in the Winamax thing, too, & good luck tonight.

For those who do not read the Staking Board, Doobs played the big Winamax Tourney last night, & sold some action, & after Day One, he sits proudly atop the Leaderboard, 1st of 79, with 40 odd paid, & over €80,000 up top.

good luck tonight Doobs

I just looked at what they would allow me on that horse in the 4pm Wolverhampton which horsey gave us yesterday.

They have it at 8/1 currently, & my Max Bet was £80.

On the Favourite in the same race, which they list @ 11/4, they would allow me £90.91.

So it seems to be a formula which I can't grasp yet, but it is not a flat £500 winning amount.

Camel will know.......

Anyway, trial & error will be the way.

Lets move on.

It's fairly simple really, each bet they have will have a max limit they'll lay on that selection.

If you are restricted to 10% on horses you'll be able to get 10% of the max.

Some savvy bookies give you different restrictions on different sports.

For some reason-stupid I assure you-i'm 1% on football with one high street firm, yet 25% on everything else bar horses where i'm 10%.

You can work out your % restrictions by logging in with a clean account, seeing the 100% limit and then doing the same with yours.

It's just that some selections will have big limits-some won't.

You'll still be on the same % allowed.

The golf has started up in Chicago.  No charge by Jordan Spieth yet, Donald going to start in 5 minutes.

Thanks for all good wishes.

Horse runs 3rd @ 16s, so a tidy profit.

Expected better but having 5 people round the horse for 3 minutes adjusting the bit, didn't look to help just before the off.

Anyway, no damage.

On ladbrokes, if you put your selection on the betslip, there is an "i" in a circle just under the red cross.  Hoverring over that will tell you your min/max also.

Thanks Simon, was not aware of that.

Tested it.

I looked at placing a bet on Leicester to beat Blackburn tomorrow, which is a 4/5 Shot, the Max was £250.

That's not so bad, it's workable.

lol Mr.Whippy special with extra flake here.........£2500

PS...you can also have 11K on Liverpool if Fred wants Cheesy

That would appear to be the case, yes.

It was Ladbrokes who reported Ian Black for Gambling to the SFA, seemingly the phoned him and asked if he was Ian Black the Footballer.

This was reported by a good scottish footballer journalist last week

Really not sure how that fits in with the data protection act or whatever is relevant in this case

An organisation or business which collects Data from a Client may ONLY use it for the intended purpose, & those details remain private between the Site & the Client. In the case of an Online Gaming Site, those "purposes" are easily defined.

We must not, of course, assume or suggest that Ladbrokes have acted improperly, we don't have such evidence. Journalists, of course, can & do get away with murder.
Ladbrokes restrict u because they don't like the colour of your money, then take away some promised bonus that u should be taking to IBAS, and journalists get away with murder?! Think of some of the stories and scandals that have come out through good investigative journalism before u tar them all with the fake sheikh brush. Ladbrokes can go with Ryanair in your list of companies doing a jolly good job
