Just an update on our NFL passing yards bets Tony.
It isn't quite going to plan tho all three of our guys are currently in the top 5.
Peyton Manning is putting up tremendous numbers and leads comfortably at the moment, we have a big game coming this week tho as part of the reasoning we don't have him was the Denver schedule was pretty soft and they wouldn't have to put up big numbers in some of the games. This weekend they are over 26 point favs so if it goes badly for us he might put up a lot of yards but there is a chance he puts up 200 odd yards into the 3rd quarter and is resting up for the rest of the game if Denver are winning comfortably.
Our guys are going ok, Brees is in 2nd and passing a lot tho the Saints D is looking solid so not so many total shootouts. Matt Ryan is in third but it is very much duck on water for him at the mo as the stats are ok but he has lost a top class wr to injuries he just cannot shake off. The pass catching RB that we hoped made a big difference is out injured and will probably remain out for a few more games. They are losing games which is the one good thing for us as he is having to force it a little at the mo.
Edit, he looks like being without both his top wr, one of them possibly for the season after injury in last nights game.
We got unlucky and the ran well late on with Stafford last week as his top wr missed the game which was a big blow, tho Stafford managed a respectable total it was mainly in garbage time. Still it saved us from a v bad week.
The good news is that we still have the fact our guys will be playing home games in domes when the weather gets tricky later in the year which 5 of the current top 9 won't be doing. Romo will be a danger to us too
One thing to note too is Green Bay have already had their bye week so Aaron Rodgers has played one game less than our guys so he is a 300 yards game away from a top 4 spot in the list.
Thanks for the update, Phil, still plenty to play for here, love these long sweats.

Darts
B365 ool with Connie Finnan 180s.
11/10 over 1.5, suggest you take whatever they give you, I wouldn't go any lower than 10/11
Embarrassingly, all I could get was a paltry £4/.55, but that'd be a £5 profit, & you'd pick as fiver up if it was blowing down the street.

Good victory for Lewis last night, Dolan threw everything at him and with the crowd firmly against him he done well to stay focused.More times than not in the past few years he would have lost that match.
I don't expect him to be troubled as much until the semis.
MvG also played really well for freds cover bet wit Taylor.
I see Bet365 still have Finnan 11/10 for over 1 180, with around 15 legs expected he is going to have a lot of chances to beat that line and is not to shabby around the Lipstick.

Thanks snowy. That price, for those who can get on, is miles OOL.

We are doing OK so far, Lewis looked good, we have two nice bets on him at 10/1, we have cover two ways with MVG, & Taylor looked OK, & we have a meaty lump on him.
All present & correct so far.
I had a few little bets myself on Monday & every one lost, bless, then I luckily recovered last night, though my "Highest Checkout" by Barney in his match had to get a bit lucky.
Quite enjoying it. Love Bristow's observations, though he tends to mumble a bit sometimes.

I think thats because he's enjoying the Guniness over there.
I much prefer listening to ex players commentating on Darts except Mardle.
Chris Mason and Warringer Little are two of the better ones but unfortunatly aren't on Sky.
Have a word Tikay;-)

Ha, I wish.
Oddly, I have come to know Mardle quite well, spent a few days with him, & I enjoyed his company.
I also spent a day with Simon Whitlock a fortnight ago. He really surprised me, not what I expected at all. Nice chap, though, just not what I expected.
Can't say the match between Pipe & Smith did much for me. I just think Darts does lend itself to a bit of razzmatazz.

I couldn't go Mardle when he was playing always thought he worked the crowd a bit much while the other player was throwing.
I read his book and he came across as a right tight git, tho probably someone you could have a laugh down the Pub with as he doensn't seem to take himself to serious.
Pipe v Smith is probably the worst match up in Darts.
I think Hearns worst nightmare would be Pipe qualifying for the PLD.
Lewis plays Pipe next.

whole thing is daft, but thats the risk when money from a non footballing background comes in
Cardiff have had an ok start, 8 points and have chances on our Handicap bet (though not the chances the Hull bet has it seems) but we needed stability
Not sure replacing Moody with a 23 year old recruited on work experience is exactly what we wanted for the bet!
Mackay would be a heck of a catch for a Championship club if he was to leave. Never seen a team in that division better set up to get results than Cardiff last season

the technology is unreliable, and costs a lot considering that. A solution is to ask all the batsemn to use different bats. That went down well
We should be able to have some Ashes bet fun, see towards November where the top bowlers are priced in particular
Should be a very close series on the generally bouncier pitches of Australia

The solution is to combine it with snicko, train the umpires properly and teach the Aussies what a double negative means.

Chicago Bears Matches 2013
Points Scored Weeks 1-5: 45-61-63-72-57
New York Giants Matches 2013
Points scored Weeks 1-5: 67-64-38-38-44 (in the 38 point games the giants scored 7 points combined!)
They meet on thursday ngiht football tomorrow
Why might the game be high scoring?
- The Giants are 0-5 and the secondary is particularly suspect
- The Giants OL is inconsistent, struggles to protect Manning and the running game can be non existent. So they throw to their main weapons Nicks, Cruz and to a lesser extent Randle
- The Bears protect Cutler better, and he has Marshall/Jeffrey/Forte and Tight Ends like Bennett now to throw to
- The Bears defense creates scoring opportunities from turnovers. Eli Manning will throw interceptions, Wilson the rb fumbles....
the points total tomorrow?
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/new-york-giants-at-chicago-bears/total-points
What is the market missing?
That not only do you have two teams that will score points on offense and not only can the Giants not defend, but the Chicago defense could score 14+ points. Manning (foo'ball awn your fwone....) has 12 interceptions in 5 games, and the Bears (Tillman etc) are renowned for interceptions, forcing fumbles etc
What is the risk?
Its a grass field in Chicago. Can be a slow track in adverse weather
What is the likely result?
Far more likely to be 60 points plus than below 40 points in my opinion, 47 points is about 7 points below where I would pitch it
Recommendation
Chunkyville Over 47 points 10/11 various bookmakers
