Tikay - if you are there call your colleagues at Skybet and let them know they have tonights NFL game the wrong way around.  they need ot have NYG as 4 point faves not Minnesota

Ooh, thanks Stu.

I am pleased to say that, like all good children, I was safely ticked up in bed well before then.

Notwithstanding that glitch, & the general contempt here for Sky Bet, did you see their numbers for Q1 of the Financial Year, which were reported last week? Trees don't grow to the sky, of course, & the growth will slow eventually.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £271.78

Outstanding Bets £2818.66

Free bets ONE to be used by Saturday 26th William Hill

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=30

A loss of £25 yesterday with two horse bets at Windsor going down.

In longer term positions, Crystal Palace's 4-1 defeat to a two-thronker inspired Fulham leaves them 19th, teo points clear of Sunderland who are bottom. We have 13/5 Palce to finish bottom

We must hope that Poyet turns Sunderland round a touch, because its difficult to see this Palace squad doing so

Coincidentally, 12/1 to be the next Premiership boss to leave yesterday lunchtime, Holloway went to 2/1 mid match and was 4/9 an hour after the final whistle when he was still locked in the dressing room. No doubt preparing witty off the cuff bon mots for the press.

In Spain last night Bilbao beat Villareal 2-0 We have both to finish top outside the big two, and both have Athletico Madrid to get past to achieve this

1    Barcelona    9    25
2    Atletico Madrid    9    24
3    Real Madrid    9    22
4    Villarreal    9    17
5    Getafe    9    16
6    Athletic Bilbao    9    16

In the NFL Quarterback passing yards-season bet, after 7 weeks

1   Peyton Manning, QB   DEN   2,565
2   Philip Rivers, QB SD   2,132
3   Matthew Stafford, QB DET 2,129
4   Tony Romo, QB DAL 2,010
5   Drew Brees, QB NO 1,958
6   Andy Dalton, QB CIN 1,924
7   Matt Ryan, QB   ATL   1,922

A good week for Stafford. If I remember correctly only Brees and Ryan of the top seven have had their bye

You'd expect Brees to have fun against St Louis, coming off the bye, wouldn't you?

Pakistan V South Africa 2nd Test tomorrow.

News just coming through that Amla's wife hasn't given birth so he wont be playing. He's the fav in top SA batsman market, some bookies haven't reacted to this news. He's most likely replacement is Elgar who's best prices 10/1. Have £20 with Laddies it wont last. He's nowhere near the class of Amla but can't have a top 3 batsman at 10/1.

Also Steyn's a major doubt, I would normally put up the opposition once the Saffers best batsman and bowler are ruled out but can't trust Pakistan for shit.

Pakistan in the Middle East are fine, its away from home conditions they struggle to get motivated

Have them strong favourites to win on the dry pitches in UAE etc, as they did the first game

SA have few spin options and without Amla (very natural player of spin) will struggle

The game is being played in Dubai

Pakistan began to have to play home tests in the Middle East in 2010 because of political unrest at home, which led to the Sri Lanka team being shot at in Lahore

So they did a deal with Dubai, Sharjah etc and new stadiums were built

Since then in Dubai four tests have been played and Pakistan have won three of them

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-v-south-africa-2013-14/engine/records/team/match_results.html?class=1;id=2439;type=ground

I remember from the England tour the pitches start dry, get drier and worn and Saeed Ajmal is a real handful

In the first Test a week ago Pakistan won by seven wickets having lost the toss

http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-v-south-africa-2013-14/engine/match/649087.html

Amla scored a hundred

Now Amla is missing and South Arica are favourites to win this match?

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/pakistan-v-south-africa/test-series/pakistan-v-south-africa-%5B2nd-test%5D/winner

Completely and utterly Bonkers, especailly because in Irfan and Junaid Pakistan have two serious fast bowlers now too

Pakistan should be favourites

Match starts 7am Wednesday our time

As to Elgar, I have seen him play live and I wouldn't be confident. Of course 10-1 for a top three bat is an enormous price though.

Ooh, thanks, bit of potential value there.

Ladbrokes maxed me @ £10, but that's fine, we got 10/1.

I love Test match bets, we get so much bang per buck. And Tighty has to do the write-ups in the Daily Report, too. Wink

maldini & Tighty.

It seems, from what you two are saying, that 13/5 Pakistan is crazy.

I have had £50 @ 13/5 with Boylesports, before that price goes. I'm happy to keep it off-thread, but if we agree it is a Fred Bet (BEFORE the price drops) fine by me.

Should take it

Think the market has been very slow to adjust here, and over-rates SA a lot in these conditions

It's priced as if its being played at the Wanderers, Jo'burg

No idea if this should be down to maldini, Tighty, or bothy. Both contributed to the decision.

Anyway....

£50 @ 13/5, Pakistan is on.

Ice cream bet of the day....

Double on Wolves and MK Dons both to score over 2.5 goals, pays 9.2/1 with Coral.

Why can Pakistan get motivated in Dubai but not elsewhere? I would have thought they would both seem like away games to them. Any idea?
