Pakistan in the Middle East are fine, its away from home conditions they struggle to get motivated
Why can Pakistan get motivated in Dubai but not elsewhere? I would have thought they would both seem like away games to them. Any idea?
As part of the agreement, the players families get moved across
It's also dry (drink) unless you have a permit, culturally similar
Lots of expats there to support them
Pakistani teams generally struggle outside the sub-continent/familiar conditions. Part of this is cricketing conditions, part is the teams are quite insular culturally...the Pakistani boys generally don't play overseas cricket in T20 competitions, county sides, Australian states etc
They have a really good record in the Middle East, granted its only a four year sample size
The record to be exact is
12 Test Matches: Won 7, Drawn 3, Lost 2 across UAE, Dubai and Sharjah since 2010

maldini & Tighty.
It seems, from what you two are saying, that 13/5 Pakistan is crazy.
I have had £50 @ 13/5 with Boylesports, before that price goes. I'm happy to keep it off-thread, but if we agree it is a Fred Bet (BEFORE the price drops) fine by me.
Should take it
Think the market has been very slow to adjust here, and over-rates SA a lot in these conditions
It's priced as if its being played at the Wanderers, Jo'burg
Please check Betfair always. It is 3.95 now and was when the first post went up. It is 14/5 even if you are on 5%. For those not on, Betfair is your place.

Actually it is better than that
4 of the Sharjah matches were 2002 and the 2 losses were against Warne, Ponting Mcgrath etc
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-v-south-africa-2013-14/engine/records/team/match_results.html?class=1;id=848;type=ground
post 2010 record in middle east is Played 9 Won 5 Drew 4 Lost 0
Dubai Won 3 Drew 1 Lost 0
14/5 Betfair! (thanks)

Ice cream bet of the day....
Double on Wolves and MK Dons both to score over 2.5 goals, pays 9.2/1 with Coral.
What? Are you serious?
A DOUBLE?
If only for the opportunity for Tighty to belittle you tomorrow morning, we've tiddlearsed a tenner.
Hope it loses.

Suggestion: £90 on Arsenal to beat Crystal Palace @ 4/9 with Coral.
Reason: bleedin' obvious innit.
Time to do it: as quick as possible, it can't last long.
I was busy pokering last night when Keith Posted this, so I did not comment at the time, just placed the bet.
But it did strike me as how Pros spot little edges, repeatedly, & I still miss them, as my head often seems to get stuck up dark orifices.
Have you noticed how many times Keith has done this? Watches a game on TV, or sees a result just in, & quick as a flash, in the light of fresh or confirmed evidence, places a bet BEFORE the market can react. I suppose it is habit to him, always check the next game during this one in the light of what is happening.
I assume what he had confirmed last night is that Palace are enthusiastic, if nothing else. And they are nothing else.
That does not mean the bet will win of course, but we got a value price, & that is crucial.
We make just over 4%, & these spots can be more than 4% in price differential alone. (Says the dumbass bloke who just took a dump price on Pakistan).

for some as yet unknown reason Noel King has gone back out to 14's on the betfair sportsbook
The limits also appear reset as they have allowed me another tenner
The same rules do apply been confirmed in an email to me

I can't find the article, but I read somewhere about an announcement in the first week of November.

Was too slow, now 7/2 again. He was 3/1 when I looked yesterday.

I have absolutely NO interest in punting this Market, but I thought it may amuse & entertain you horsey, & a few others.
Prices for the next 'Boro manager are.....
It does give a hint into the depth of quality available in the Managership stakes though.

Some real comedy gold there.

Surprising they didn't fire Mowbray when Mr Brolly was still on the market.
About the only place he'd be welcomed with open arms I reckon.
