Aargh, I missed the 14-1 Tom Hanks for best actor Oscar, and he's now 6-1 generally.

However, Hills go 10-1, which has to be taken. I can't get on with these clowns, so I'll take £100 if anyone else can get on?

Awesome performance, just awesome. Don't know whether he'll be up yet, but there's no justice if he isn't. Deserves the gong just for the closing few minutes.

The price has gone already.  Hills aren't going to stand much of a battering from Team Chompy on that market.

It seems like a bit of value to backing Barnsley here, there seems to be hardly anything between all three at the moment, but out of the three I wouldn't have Barnsley at 4/1 & they have a nice set of fixtures coming up, compared to the others.

Sorry for being late to the party but I agree with Aaron that this price just looks wrong.  I was planning a detailed amount of BFC-related insight as to why this is, but Aaron nailed it in the post by saying there's hardly anything between the three.  Basically you could switch the team order around whichever way you like and I'd back whichever one was priced at 4/1 and think it was good value.

I'm not quite sure where we're heading this season.  We have a stronger squad than last year, and our form has picked up a little, but Flitcroft could well be out of a job in the next few weeks and seems incapable of finding his best 11 at the moment.  Consequently, both Wednesday and BFC may soon have new managers, all 3 clubs are known to be available for sale to the right offer, and this could conceivably be a bet on the order of the bottom 3.

Too much uncertainty for anyone to be able to confidently price them up like that, IMO.

One of the big dangers could be from Tom Hanks. He will shortly be on the big screen again, but this time in the role of Walt Disney. It's supposedly also a cracker.

Watch out for Leonardo "I'm either brilliant or awful" DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, as it will be a late release and that could mean it's fresh in the judges' minds.

The Cannes Festival best actor was Bruce Dern in Nebraska. He is tipped to do well in what appears to be a proper tearjerker. His only other Best Actor nomination was 35 years ago.
