A bit of value, but no stats to back it up, sadly, help!

Navas to score "anytime" for Man City v CSKA tomorrow is massive standout with Corals at 11-2, generally 7-2 everywhere else.

However, he has only scored one, questionable if he will play, but expecting City to be scoring a handful tomorrow.

thoughts?

He might not play

He has 26 goals in 320ish career club games

He will always pass the ball even when given a shooting chance

His shooting is pretty poor

His career stats suggest a goal about every 12 games

I just wonder where people find these stats, but cheers John, think you have made my mind up!

Surely Man City starting the same side that played Norwich?

wikipedia or soccerbase

I like Navas a lot but he has never been a scorer of goals, there is a link to an interview he did a few years ago were he states he gets a lot more joy making a goal or being involved in that than scoring

Of course everything has its price

Does anyone follow either Radcliffe Borough or Curzon Ashton?

I am going to the game tonight and might need a financial interest to keep me interested.

Thanks

haha, I was hoping Junior or Tighty might have had some thoughts.

Follow them?!!! I've never even bloody heard of them!

Strange betting.

Why isn't it 1/2, 11/4, 5/1?

You think 7/2 the draw is a must?  I have only heard of Radcliffe Borough.  I used to watch non league games years ago, so may well have seen them play, though can't say many of the games were memorable.

If I was in Bobby's situation I would have to bet the draw, but there must be a reason it's so big.

Maybe a sweat bet for Fred & very small interest.

Pawlett scored a couple of goals for Aberdeen this season their joint 2nd top goalscroer.

Aberdeen at home at Partick.

FGS 16's with 365 and Laddies, suggest £5.

Over in La Liga both our selections look set for a strong season, Horsey has picked a couple of cracking underdogs and we just need Athletico Madrid to stop playing so well.

A La Liga update, tonight Villarreal are away to promoted side Elche, Bilbao were in action yesterday losing 2-0 at Athletico Madrid.

Our bet is Villareal and Bilbao w/o the big 2 and after 12 games the table looks like this:

Barcelona    34
Ath Madrid   33
Real Madrid  28
Villareall   20 (played 11)
Bilbao       20

Next Sunday there's a big game for us that's live on Sky as Villarreal host Athletico Madrid, the yellow submarine will be looking to get back to their free scoring ways against the other team in Madrid who look very formidable right now.

Hi Adz, no help on your question, but one i would like to put to you or anyone else who would like to comment.  I remember you saying Mount Athos was being aimed at the melbourne cup?  I think i've even got a bet on it somewhere after you told me.  Anyway more recently I've been nudged towards Simenon for it,  I notice he hasnt yet mate the cut 23rd in line from the 24 so far, but could be over taken in the seeding yet.

Richard Huges has been booked for the ride and according to a few articles i've read Simenon's preparations have been going well.

So with this in mind, do we think the standout 20/1 with 365 is value?

If anyone backed ths you have a little bit of value with the top price now being 12/1,  the race is at 4am GMT. Adz is a big fan of Mount Athos and knows much more about the horses than I do so i've backed both, from what i've been reading the draw is a bit of a disadvantage though.  Boyles haven't got their prices up currently but they were the only firm offering top 5 for the last few days, naturally they weren't top price on anything but that may change when they put their prices up again so it's worth a look.

Hopefully Williams can go one better than he did in the Caulfield Cup on Dandino

Pricewise put up Verema antepost, and Royal Empire last night @ 20/1 (which is still available with 365/Betfair)

If anyone is up and has access to Ladbrokes then I think Ty Hilton is pretty good value at 8/1 to score first two hearts TD in the tonights NFL.

Nice one.

Sadly missed by me though. Will have to enrol the mother in law, she is the only one up around the witching hour that I know.

I bet quite a bit on Scottish Football and see quite a few ricks just because the bookmakers are lazy.

Pawlett isn't a bad player and Aberdeen are doing well but there is more expectation on them at home to so called lesser rated teams of which Thistle fit the bill.

I have bet unders in this game simply because I believe Thistle are a well organised, hard working team and because it's going to be an extremely cold night.

If i wanted to cheer on something to watch on tv I would consider Kris Doolan @ 10/1 FGS and 100/30 anytime he is certainly Thistles best chance of a goal. I would also consider Stephen O'Donnell also his goals to game ratio isn't great but he's an attacking fullback/winger who came through the youth ranks at Celtic and has a decent left foot. I have seen him 3 times this season and in 2 games he was unlucky not to score.

As I read this back I could pretty much rec a Thistle win. That said it's not a game I have a huge interest in will be happy with 1 - 0 to Thistle and any my 2 named getting a goal.
