I know a lot has been said recently and we have all undoubtedly heard plenty of stories about the possible successor to Andre Villas-Boas over the last few days. A lot of names have been bandied about and one in particular has obviously been the focus of my attention.

As a devoted fan, I think it's only fair and proper that I say something at this point and, as blonde is a safe and welcoming community, I hope you won't mind that I say what I have to say here first, before anything goes to the associated press.

I would just like to declare I am happy in my current job and that, therefore, I wish to end speculation linking me with the manager's position at spurs. I am obviously touched and honoured to have been mentioned as a front runner, but now really wouldn't be the right time for me or for Tottenham.

Thank you for your understanding.

Oddsdchecker have Tal @ 16/1 for the 'Spurs job.

Current favourite is Santa Claus @ 5/4, with David Icke @ 3/1.

We'd never have a bloke who goes to work in red and white

Darts Update

Still no 100+ averages.  Looks like we will come up dry in the first round.

Thanks Bazza.

There'll be a mighty cheer when we eventually get the first one in!

Tim Tim Sherwood doesn't strike me as manager material at all. Let alone of a supposed big club. Any valoo against him?

He has no chance of the job permanently, imo. RobS maybe, TimS, not so much.

I had to laugh today, when Hoddle noncholanty threw his hat into the ring, he said something like "I'm willing to step in to help out".

Delusion is a weird thing.

Never really understood why Hoddle hasn't been working the last 5 years.  I know he's a bit of a weirdo, but he was excellent for Swindon, Chelsea and England before messing up at Wolves (?) and Spurs.

I'd be delighted if he was Watford manager.

On that note Guiseppe Sannino was having dinner in Collettes last night with the Pozzos - don't think bookies are taking bets anymore though.

On the Freddie Stars thread, my buddy claypole wrote......

The Doobs Award - whoever started fred on the route to being a "nitty arber", 2nd to Fav money back free bet specifically but other types.   God it stops me dipping in as much - don't mind when its a stand out, one off offer - but got to the point this was boring the pants off me....we've got it, we know when to place bets, we know its mathematically sound....is that really what fred is about.  Fred is about the great thought through bets, narratives, judgement and fun banzais with a case...not how to be a nitty arber - post education of many

I get what you mean Shaun, I get it exactly, but......

You don't HAVE to follow them, or do them. To keep Fred ticking along, we need to appeal to as many folks as possible, & many regulars love them.

Some days, things are a bit quiet, & it keeps the interest levels up.

Not what Fred is about? Maybe, but it's mathematically a proven value spot, & that is part of what we have learned.

Yes, we love the exciting ones, the ooh & ahh spots, but balance is good, a bit of bread & butter is good for us.

Personally, I hope we keep doing them.

Harry Harris on the radio now

Jesus it is like a pr machine this Hoddle stuff

That website had a few plugs again

Apparantley Hoddle has turned down "dozens" of jobs since his last role in waiting for the right job

He is now slagging Avb for being arrogant bit rich coming from the Hoddle camp that!

Daily Report

Profit on Month £291.28

Outstanding Bets £3132.14

Free bets to use ONE WILLIAM HILL BY SATURDAY

A profit of £60 yesterday, going 5 of 7 on First goalscorer bets win and each way. Kpnuts 3 for 3 for Bayern for £37 profit and Kolarov 14-1 FGS with a fabulous free kick at the King Power.

Darts aside I didn't see any activity on long term bets yesterday. On the darts the oldest bet on the book is Huybrechts £20 at 50-1 for this tournament. This is still live, yes? Chances?

I am convinced he has mounted a PR campaign to get the job.

The game has changed so much, & I fear he has been left behind, & his punditry on the Sky TV games suggests as much.

Kim was poor but I think we can write off playing his brother in the first round of the world champs as a measure of how he's playing. Next round will be telling, though. Can he bounce back?

There appears to be another Darts Bet on the Spready, placed on July 1st, for "Jelle Klaasen".

We bet £8.60 @ 200/1, it seems.

He does not seem to be in the betting now, presumably that bet should be killed?

I'll Post all the PDC 2014 Outrights shortly, so we know where we are.

£50 on Sophie Ellis Bextor to win Strictly at 4/1 with BetVictor or Boyles.  Sure to be able to trade out at shorter.  Big charge going on, she went 9/2 yesterday (sigh at missing Coral's e/w).  Gogogo

Groan......

Oddly, just minutes ago, a well-renowned SCD expert & devotee PM'd me to tell me to get on.......Abbey Clancy!

I've not got a clue what is going on here.

Anyway, I missed the 4/1 with BMU, 7/2 now, but got £50 @ 4/1 with Boylesports.

http://www.oddschecker.com/winter-sports/alpine-skiing/mens-alpine:-val-gardena-downhill/winner

Possible men's skiing bet in coming.

Svindal is dominant in the speed events (downhill & super G), but downhill is not as strong & the 7/4 is too short imo.

World Cup downhill results for past last year: 1 4 2 5 9 DNF 3 5

World Cup super G results: 7 1 1 1 1 2 1

Next two days all the men are training on the downhill at Val Gardena, the timings may show who if any can beat Svindal on Saturday.

The women also are downhill training, but at Val d Isere. But 4 or 5 girls are closely matched.
