Newbie post here so don't slap me please.
1. How do you decide how much to bet on a selection?
2. Is there a way I can bookmark the spreadsheet in order to find it easier
3. Is there an option to access it when offline?
Thanks to everyone for the winning selections. If you want any help on Greek football or basketball let me know.

£50 on Sophie Ellis Bextor to win Strictly at 4/1 with BetVictor or Boyles. Sure to be able to trade out at shorter. Big charge going on, she went 9/2 yesterday (sigh at missing Coral's e/w). Gogogo
Groan......
Oddly, just minutes ago, a well-renowned SCD expert & devotee PM'd me to tell me to get on.......Abbey Clancy!
I've not got a clue what is going on here.
Anyway, I missed the 4/1 with BMU, 7/2 now, but got £50 @ 4/1 with Boylesports.
BET PLACED
You could probably bet both. Abbey bigger than Betfair too.
You could just put up a £50 lay at 4.2 on Betfair now
. If it gets taken fine, we have a freebie, if it doesn't we have Sophie at a big price. Win, win. I am not laying mine off FWIW.
Don't get the hostility, reality TV is where the big edges are. Next people will be grouching at the Hills offers.
Might even volunteer to do Sunday's round up if she wins. There isn't much to report on the average Sunday.
The bamboozlement continues.....
We have done that, £50 @ 4.2 LAY, of Sophie Ellis Bextor. It is currently NOT MATCHED
BET PLACED

Tonji, to what extent do things like the course design and snow conditions play a role for these people? Are (eg) downhill races all the same length, the same expected average speed, the same difficulty? Obviously, when I say "the same", I mean within reason; I do realise mountains are different shapes.
Essentially a horses for courses question.
hey Tal,
Devil in the detail...yep, snow conditions can change day to day, icy, new snow powder etc. Skiers set up with regard to conditions can gain or loose seconds if your choice of ski is just not working, ie too sharp, or too grippy & scrubs off speed.
Each course has particular characteristics, but each event will have a different Official design the turns. So on downhill, you can get sections for gliders (suits big racers with good aero position), or fast turns & jumps (suiting the technical & smaller racer).
Lovely. Gives me an idea of what to look for. Thanks.

Hi George,
Hope things are fine & dandy at home.
1) Largely speaking, bet size is determined by the person who recommends the bet. They are mostly used to the ways of Fred, & generally their bet size is indicative of their confidence in the bet. If newbies come along & suggest over-sized stakes, we tend to trim them as appropriate. We used to have one or two who demanded MAX bets on everything, but they've mostly disappeared now. It's a thread for grown-ups, where everyone is responsible, & takes ownership in the health of Fred's 'roll. Obviously, as to what followers bet, that's entirely up to them. Most bet more than Fred does, as they don't have so many Restricted Accounts, so they can get more on. Some of them are dreadfully degenerate, too.
2) I don't know how to Bookmark stuff, but if you go to the very first Post in the thread, on Page 1, there is a link to the Spready.
3) No idea, sorry, I'm not exactly up to speed on internet stuff, but I'm well clued up on Teletext & VHS.

Daily Report
Profit on Month £291.28
Outstanding Bets £3132.14
Free bets to use ONE WILLIAM HILL BY SATURDAY
A profit of £60 yesterday, going 5 of 7 on First goalscorer bets win and each way. Kpnuts 3 for 3 for Bayern for £37 profit and Kolarov 14-1 FGS with a fabulous free kick at the King Power.
Darts aside I didn't see any activity on long term bets yesterday. On the darts the oldest bet on the book is Huybrechts £20 at 50-1 for this tournament. This is still live, yes? Chances?
Still live. He is in the soft quarter of the draw (ie the one without Taylor, Lewis or MVG) and is 3/1 to win that however it takes a big leap of faith to see him beating Taylor then Lewis/MVG. The theory behind backing him was twofold, he was a potential improver and tere were question marks over those at the top of the betting (Lewis hadn't played well for over a year and Taylor looked as if he was on the downgrade). Huybrechts has improved (although has yet to play at his best on TV) however the big three are all playing as well as they ever did.
Klaasen bet is dead.

Since the 2010 ashes, cook has faced 1000 more balls than anyone else in international cricket.

Thanks for the reply TK. Hope you are well too.
I am in Greece at the moment and the weather is maybe as cold as in the UK which I have to admit wasn't what I was dreaming of. Possible sign of global warming? Weather gets mad even in Greece nowadays.
I guess I can bookmark the first page of the thread. Technology makes our lives easier.
Teletext??? I used to read some sport news on there and also follow some sccres back in the days when we didn't have internet at the house and I had placed a bet at the local shop. Even if I was under-aged.
I will never forget when I was young I was buying a paper in the summer lying in a beach, reading what sports and matches were on and then went to the shop to place a bet with my brother. I think I placed my first bet when I was 12 or 13. Those were happy days.

Thanks Bazza, we'll keep an eye on the Huybrechts bet, there may be a trading scenario if he progresses. I hope we have backed the right one, the Betslip does not give the Christian name.......

Giuseppe Sannino is Watford Football Club’s newly-appointed Head Coach.
The 56-year-old has spent the past 17 years accumulating coaching experience in his native Italy.
His most recent managerial appointments include Siena, Palermo and Chievo Verona.
Before taking up his first coaching post in the mid-1990s, Sannino enjoyed a long playing career within the Italian League structure.
Sannino takes up his post immediately and will be joined by assistant coaches Francesco Troise, Giovanni Cusatis and Paolo De Toffol.

There is a certain incongruity about the names Giuseppe Sannino, Francesco Troise, Giovanni Cusatis and Paolo De Toffol being employed by Watford.
How the hell will Luther spell that lot?
Anyway, we have a lumpy bet on Watford, so I'm fully on board with these Italian or Spanish chaps.

Betfair sportsbook offer 4/1 on Suarez not being at Liverpool by end of Jan transfer window
Another way of hedging the bet for those who need to/want to

Don't want to keep putting up Man City bets but that's where I keep seeing value so will continue......
Fulham v City on Saturday, Yaya Toure will be on pens (due to Aguero being injured) and will also have first refusal on free kicks within shooting range. He's scored 10 goals in 22 games so far this season, finding the net in 9 of those games. Also, expect City to play with one centre forward (although this isn't definite), which may mean Yaya can advance forward more than he does when they play with two up top.
Don't think some of the prices on offer take into account he will be the penalty taker.
I've taken anytime goal at 37/19 with 888. But 365 6/1 First EW also fine.
