Allardyce sounding defeated. 'You can't keep losing football matches. We know the reasons why, but those reasons won't save you in the end.'

Jog him on, jog him on, jog him on!

What has it come to when we are willing a man to lose his job to win a value bet? Don't suppose Sam will mind, with his yearly wages what's the guesses on the compensation package if he gets he tin tack?

I was musing over that very matter the other day, & I don't feel very proud of myself for wishing a man to lose his job, just so we can win a few bob.

I must say, my stance modified a bit when I learned that he allegedly gets a salary of over £3 million per year (!), & presumably, he'll get compensation if his contract is terminated.

£3 milli per year, wow! Just imagine. Do the job for a year, & retire for life. Jeez.

I have never met the man, but I study his body language & general tone a good bit. I have the impression - probably totally unfairly - that if I met him, I would not like him.

Strikes me as a tad uncouth.

Pretty sure he is the type who farts loudly in public, or at the dinner table, too.

And he chews gum with his mouth open, a disgusting habit. I'd sack him for that alone, I would.

This reminded me straight away of my old form tutor Mrs Ellard-Smith was her name, I can still remember clearly how she would scream the roof off the classroom at anybody she used to catch chewing, she would then continue to describe what gum does to your insides, particularly if swallowed.  Very good Teacher certainly made a positive impression on students even though she was the strictest I had ever met. I'm sure she cried when they took away caning.

With Lindsay Vonn not competing in the Olympics due to injury, the big star for the US will be Mikaela Shiffrin.

Only 18 but already a dominant in women's slalom. Her record for 2013 is 1 1 8 3 1 1 12 2 1.

Can't recommend for Fred as it's no surprise she's best 2/1. If she can stay her normal relaxed bubbly self I can't see anyone beating her. If the pressure gets too much. Marlies Schild the veteran Austrian skier can break her cycle of bronze & silver in the past two Games & get the gold.

Thanks Tonji.

We might well get on if we thing it reps value, but I cannot see the market listed on Oddscheker at present.

Where did you see that price, please?

Morning tikay,

http://www.oddschecker.com/winter-olympics/alpine-skiing/olympic-alpine-skiing-womens-slalom/winner

Only a few firms have priced up, I'd expect more closer to February. Personally I'm not involved yet & will be looking at the other Alpine events that are more open & hopefully some decent value. January has some big classic races & training at Wengen, Kitzbuehel & Garmisch, so I'm holding fire until later in the month.

Sullivan looks like he is stood outside the Kremlin!

Talking of which, pretty sure I saw Vincent Tan as the head baddie in  a Bruce Lee film I was watching last night.

With an imagination like that, think you ought to give us a Photo Gallery.

That was a VERY odd coat for a man of his age, though. Does he have a young lady in tow, who he is trying to impress?

Paddy now go 1/4 the odds a place on City games so ruins the bet I think!

Yes - qtr odds, 5 "places".

So we have some choices now, but I need some direction as to what route to take.

I can get £35 EW with PP, or £8 EW with 365.

Are PP double odds if he scores twice and triple if he scores three times or more ?

Ahhhhhhh, it was Betfred. Would have paid triple odds on Negrano.

Ha, now you remember!

I hope you made Pete traipse round every BetFred shop in Birmingham.

Let's see, THREE bookies were offering a good price.

Bet365

Paddy Power

BetFred

How many shops is that? The poor bloke must be knackered.

I didn't remember it was Betfred until he scored the third, then I had a moment of clarity.

No need to do a shop run for that type of bet. A single shop will take £500 on that which is more than I would want on.

Sullivan's girlfriend is the daughter of Johnny Trunk. Among other things, Trunk had the shortest record ever to chart in the top 30, at 36 seconds long.

The internet has a lot to answer for.

He looks just the right age to make his breakthrough, hector. Presumably there is a Veteran Seniors Tour?

I thought of Fred's double delight/ hat trick heaven offer but just couldn't pull the trigger to take 3/1 when the best price was 4/1. Do the maths stack up that 3/1 with that offer are worth taking? Sadly can't get a bean on with 365

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/sony-open/first-round-leader

Looking at the Golf and im not a huge fan of the price on Spieth or the man in form Zach Johnson to win the Sony open, however i am more keen on the 1st round leader price of the both of them. Jordan was joint T1 in the opening round of the last tournament and obviously Johnson is sizzling hot. No reason why they both cant put up a great first round and at 25.0 for Johnson and 34.0 for Spieth ive been quite happy to invest.

Throw it open for an endorsment, recommend:

Zach Johnson 1st round leader £5 win @ 25.0 with Betfair
Jordan Spieth 1st round leader £5 win @ 34.0 with Betfair
