anyone know what the scoring system for dancing on ice final is? viewers vote/panel vote? Views on the current prices given Ray being in the vote off last night? My personal view is that surely rays supporters will come out to vote after the shock of him being in the pllay off this week and that 1/3 Ray looks reasonably big and an over reaction to last night
Pretty sure the judges scores have no influence in the final. Top 2 will skate to Bolero. Your right Ray will def get a bounce from this week, probably the best thing that could happen to him as he was always going to be saved by the judges and it will give his fans a wake up call. That being said I wouldn't be rushing to take 1/3. Your assuming his fan base is bigger than the girls. Yes he is popular but Beth is getting votes because the judges are against her and the public always like sticking two fingers up at the pros. Hayley's fan base is relatively big and her partner - Dan is a very popular skater with a fan base all of his own ( same amount of twitter followers as Ray) As well as this Hayley and Dan should be doing Jai Ho in the final which will boost their votes and a lot of activity on twitter suggests their fans vote numerous numerous numerous (yes that many) times. Also I think it's the first time Ray was not top of the leader board and he finished in the bottom two. It seems Beth might be getting more votes than anyone as she has generally been near the bottom by the judges the last few weeks but not in the skate off. Taking all that into consideration any one of the final three can win it. If there was any justice Ray would win for being the best but Chris Fountain was just as good a skater and he never won. As well as this Ray has always been a great skater, where the girls have got better each week and shown a big improvement. No, real justice would be Hayley winning so that I can record my first TFT winning bet. Good luck if you lump on Ray - he does deserve it. But I couldn't put anyone off any of them, I even took abit of the 10-1 pp had on Beth last night. Ray has been friendless today on bf out to around 4/9 and they are asking for 'unders' on the two birds who are 5/1 hills and 10/1 lads people asking for unders on the machine. Anyone with more knowledge of the situation than me might find the 'right' one to be on at the prices. Someone very keen to get on hayley requesting £350 at 5.1 on bf hills are 5/1. Not sure what fred can get on hayley but having the max you can at 5/1 and laying 5.1 for the same for a total freeroll seems logical to me.

would love to lay over 10 games at 7/4 You do surprise me, that was the bet that looked most appealing to me. Billy's 3 games or more looks like a mortgage-job @ 1/25 too. Having said that It's really not the kind of market that I bet on.

would love to lay over 10 games at 7/4 1/3 hills he is still manager at the end of the season looks big to me. No way he can ever get sacked on footballing reasons. He has a monster multi year contract so its basically a price on him getting sacked over a head butt that wasnt really that major. The season only had 2 months to run. Buying money surely? Thoughts? Hills offer it 2 way as well 9/4 he goes so its not just the usual one way special.

Before Saturday they had scored five goals in ten games and conceded 17 goals and had beaten Villa and West Ham whilst losing to their number one rivals 3-0 at home and sold their best player. They also have to face Arsenal, MU, Liverpool and Everton before the end of the season. You cna bet 1/3 with me.....

The only line that I could see that could possibly cause an issue is if the FA decided that punishing him for this season wasn't adequate punishment since it could be said that we have little/nothing to play for and so the ban didn't come into force until next season, but surely they couldn't do that ? Seems like a huge price to this punter.

Surely the only way he can go before the end of the season is to be fired for this incident (obv possible) there is no way ashley is ever sacking him this season where he would have to pay off a 7/8? year contract. Surely he only gets sacked if Ashley can sack him for gross misconduct and can get out of the contract for free??? Newcastle are 5 points off 6th spot like you say playing badly and as a selling club in recent years. What more does the owner/Newcastle fans expect of Newcastle this season?

Also was it really a head butt? I remember the days when a 'head butt' knocked people out or it wasnt called a head butt. ie big duncan ferg style.

Ashley fired Chris Hughton when they were 11th and he didn't headbutt anyone and had got them promoted as champions six months earlier. Obviously I am not saying he will go and the chances are he won't but when you have won 3 games from 11, had the double done over you by your biggest rivals and have just headbutted someone I don't think you are 1/3 to still be around next year when your chairman is Mike Ashley especially when I have to tie my money up for three months......luckily that isn't an issue for you because your credit is good with me ;-)

Does the 8 year contract not have a 1 year pay off clause, in the event he is sacked by the board?
The main thing that keeps him there is the personal relationship with Ashley isn't it, whatever happens off-field or on-field?

I do believe it has a 1 year clause, obv no idea on the details.
Surely Red those factors make it a better bet, if there was any temptation at all to get rid of him he would've used the headbutting as an opportunity do so, so imo his position must surely not be under any threat at all.
It is football though...
