No idea who the "good friend of Fred" is, but as I already suggested, we'll get on shortly.

Put a couple forward please? (other peoples stuff I notice)
Felix Yonger. On twitter tikay's mate Boycie quotes Mullins as saying "twice the horse on good ground than soft"
Broadway buffalo in the Pertemps e/w. edgascoigne who doesn't post enough or tip nearly enough was putting this up as his plot last night
Felix Yonger the 1.30
Broadway Buffalo the 2.05
Thanks.
Where is the Recommend/rationale behind the Broadway Buffalo bet, please?
Edward Gascoigne
Right, handicap plot post of the year. Broadway Buffalo for the Pipes tomorrow in the Pertemps (14:05 Cheltenham).
Was a respected entry in last year's Albert Bartlett from memory and appears to have been given a 'gentle' time of it in qualifying for this.
25/1 with any of the books offering 1/4 odds 5 places might look big come race time...
Was that on Fred? I don't recall seeing it. sorry.
I'll go & get organised shortly, bear with me.
It wasn't on thread, i was just pointing it out as a very useful nugget of info from someone we respect
Ahh, now I'm starting to understand.
Shaun said "Ed's tip", so there was no way I could have the first idea what that was if it was not on Fred.
I'm big fans of Ed & Shaun, so don't misunderstand me, but I'm not sure Fred is working as I'd wish if we just bet "my mate said" stuff.

The likelihood of ed getting on the thread during chelt nham is remote. tweeds to choose from, brogues to select, binoculars to polish, landed gentry to hob-nob with

Chaps & Chapesses.
Can I just politely ask if you could include...
The time of the race
The suggested price
Some reasoning
An oddschecker link where possible.
Thanks very much.

Might have been missed in the commotion, but I was given this horse last week by a mate of mine, who happens to be going down to Cheltenham today with the owners, and he basically said the same thing as Ed.
Obviously most of them are all trying to do the same thing, so it's just a case of whoever has managed to hoodwink the handicapper best, but I don't need much of an excuse to get on a 25/1 shot

Am on too, as mentioned in last night's post. Don't forget to use mobile for hills bets
Edit no point in mobile think we have a horse in that race.

Yes that's the point I was making. Saw Ed post on Facebook last night then had a look at the race. He is a god judge IMHO after having a day at Galway with him and Ian - also a degenerate drinker so I tend to agree with Tighty re his likelihood to post here this week. Up to you Gramps, however a Pipe 25/1 shot in that race with 25 runners with that sort of profile looks a good bet to have.

The best price now for Felix Younger is 7/2, it was 4/1 moments before I tried to get on, but it all disappeared.
There has not been a "price guide" for the horse, so I've no idea if 7/2 is OK.
I don't know who owns the bet, either. Claypole, Ed, Tighty?
For now, we have had £25 @ 7/2, Felix Younger, with Paddy Power. I believe there may be some associated Offers with this bet. (MBS etc?)
We might have more later, I can't really gauge how strong it is fancied as there has not been a proper recommend yet.

Its not easy to do a proper recommend without spoiling the work of our good friend!
I would be copying.
It was mentioned on here last night, I mentioned where I saw pertinent comment on twitter
not sure what else i can be expected to do? Probably just back it myself and not try to get thread on
(I appreciate its hectic and you are snowed under elsewhere)

Ulul whoever is was that needed Katgary.
Think we need to be snapping up 10-1 Lewis Hamilton for SPOTY, as recced by someone earlier?
I don't really agree with this
think I prefer Rory at 16/1, four majors and a Glenegles ryder cup to go at
Rory is popular, and Lewis very marmite. Didn't win it in 2008 when he won an exciting championship, all on terrestial tv.....
Long time Lurker, first time poster (hate that its to do with SPOTY).
Lewis only lost it in 08 because the Sir Chris of Hoy got 3 golds in Beijing (first time for a Brit to get 3 Golds in 1 Olympics), looking at previous F1 contenders for SPOTY and you see that Button(09) lost out to Ryan Giggs when he had what most thought would be his last season in the prem league (and so a massive crowd favourite). Before that then you have Lewis again in 07 when he came close but was pipped to the championship by the alcoholic Finn. Going back further and we start talking about Hill, Mansell and Stewart, all of which won it.
Rory looked vulnerable the other week when massively clear and he clutched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Unless we win the World Cup, I don't see anyone else winning SPOTY this year.
Plus, I'm pretty sure I saw Lewis at 20/1 e/w 1,2,3 in the laddies shop today.
Bunny!
Welcome to Fred.
I've not forgotten this & will reply shortly, it's all a bit hectic & vague this morning, bear with me please.
