Spurs very similar to my thoughts on Newcastle yday. Spurs are clearly a better team than Southampton on all known data. The prices at 6/5 Spurs imply both teams are of equal ability which they are clearly not. The negative hype around Spurs has caused this price to occur but it is being corrected this morning maybe because a) it's wrong anyway or b) the sheer weight of acca cash running onto Spurs after all 8 favs won in the EPL yday. Either way its extremely hard to make a logical case for Soton at any price under 7/2. If you can get the 6/5 Spurs i would recommend a small interest (£30) and laying soton at 3.8/9 for a liability of £75.

Surely we have to get on over 11.5 Sixes in the India v West Indies match, Pakistan and Oz have hit 13 already with a good bit of the game to go.
Nearly every West Indies player can hit big and Raina, Dhoni etc should be lookin forward to swinging the Bat here.
Looks to me that only a Batting collapse should put it in Danger??

Surprised Tighty didn't post this photo from the weekend (apologies if he did).
Anyone know where it is?
Looks like the SCG?

PRESS RELEASE
Britain’s bookies suffer their second worst day ever on football betting just two months after worst ever weekend
An almost unprecedented pattern of football results yesterday has cost Britain’s bookmakers £20 million pounds, the second worst day for betting operators ever.
Remarkably bookmakers suffered their worst ever day just two months ago in January when a similar ‘perfect storm’ of punter-friendly results cost the industry £25 million pounds.
Yesterday 19 of the most popular 20 teams in accumulators with Coral all won with only Leicester’s draw with Blackburn avoiding an even more costly clean sweep, and all eight favourites in the Premier League matches won.
Coral’s bill will run into millions of pounds across both its 1,800 betting shops and its online and mobile betting operation. The Stratford based firm will be paying out over 100 individual wins of £2,000 or more, with most of these four figure winning customers staking £20 or in most cases much less.
A customer in Coral’s Vicarage Road shop in Watford staked just 80p on a successful 13 team accumulator and won £4,063, while another Coral customer in English Street, Carlisle put £1 on a 15 team accumulator and collected £4,166.
“Yesterday literally hundreds of thousands of football punters across Britain will have turned a few quid into hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of pounds, as all but one of the fancied teams across all the major divisions in Britain won their matches,” said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
“We have never known anything like it. Just two months ago we suffered our worst ever weekend of football betting but consoled ourselves with the thought that at least it would be a long time until we were hit so badly again. We were wrong, and yesterday was nearly as bad,” explained Clare.
“All the big sides won across all the divisions and when the last minute Newcastle winner went in against Crystal Palace there was a deathly silence across the Coral trading floor. Even a cloud as dark as this for the bookies has a silver lining as at least all the losses have been spread across many thousands of recreational punters who will have enjoyed thrilling wins yesterday. We will look forward not back and prepare for a surge of turnover on football over the next few days and weeks as the winner’s play up their winnings, and others hope to emulate them”, said Clare.
“However given the vast sums of money involved, it will take a long time for bookies to claw it back, and we will now be praying for a brilliant World Cup to make up for a poor season”, concluded Clare.
ENDS
Examples of Coral small stakes big wins from yesterday:
Beckfield Lane, Acomb, York an £11 11-fold won £4,411
The High Street, Harlow Essex a £40 7-fold won £6,534
Vicarage Road, Watford an 80p 13-Fold won £4,063
English Street, Carlisle a £1 15-Fold won £4,166
Solihull High Street a £2 12-Fold netted £4,091
Airbles Street, Motherwell a £2 5-Fold won £2,392
Winterbottom Avenue, Hartlepool a £5 12-Fold won £11,495
Vicarage Street, Hailsham in East Sussex a 50p 6-Fold won £2,463
Cove Road, Farnborough, Hampshire a £2 15-Fold won £4,840
(got to try and get it back somehow, I suppose...)

Will have another look at the League One top six market later. There's an argument for backing a couple at big prices now, before Poshies lose at Preston on Tuesday and head on to Wemberley next weekend.

Corals PR team, especially Clare, are amazingly annoying. If you design a model as Channing and Redarmi were debating on twitter with Coral's 'senior lol traders' y'day where you don't take any action that is remotely sharp then you are playing a very high variance game of just laying favs to mugs in acca's. This is fine over the long term but the problem occurs when this happens and you field no money at all against the mug fav cash. Days like y'day the vast majority of 'sharp' football punters do their brains but firms like coral who won't lay a bet never see a penny of their business. Coral choose this business model when they could easily choose to lay all 3 outcomes in most games if they so wished. Therefore when it goes against them a couple of times please STFU and just do your money in silence. Nobody cares about a whining bookie who won't lay a decent bet to half the population doing their cash in style. Wouldn't it be amazing if coral's 100 biggest FOBT's players set up a twitter account and appointed a PR man to highlight how much coral win every week from them.

I know on the morning line on
. Jim Mcgrath was trying not to rofl at some of clare's comical statements throughout the 20 minute interview. I liked how the presenter Luck actually laid it down to Clare and didn't just sit on the fence like most media outlet's in racing do in this spot because they are effectively sponsored by the big 4 via advertising, the Racing Post being the worse of them all.
