Morning Mr T.

Today Andy Murray is in action again so careful perusal of the betting opportunities is in order. His record against Lopez, his opponent today, is won 8 lost 0 and it is hard to recommend a Lopez victory. I looked at the market for service breaks and Hills seem to have decided they got that market price wrong and the prices that were 6-1 and 14-1  2 weeks ago are now 3-1 and 6-1 so no bet there.

This hard court is not as bouncy as most of the others, the services are skidding off the surface and players are finding it hard to deal with. Lopez has a very good left hand serve so I looked for a way to get with him. In the last 2 matches between these players there have been 7 sets, and 4 of those sets have gone to a tie break. I would suggest we back the 1st set to be decided by tie break at 4-1.

Suggest £15 1st set tie break @ 4-1 with Corals.

Ooh, clever stuff hector. Hope it works. The price looks good, anyway.

We are on with Corals, £15 @ 4/1.

I echo Omm's comment but minus any exercise.

the sixes bet floundered on two factors

- Pakistan's insipid batting performance, with two sixes only
- India could then pootle along with no real pressure

these sixes bets require a competitive first innings so that the chasing team has to open their shoulders and go for it

Although there wasn't much in the pitch to prevent big hitting, the ball definitely gripped for the spinners (the Indian spinners bowled 30 dot balls and took 3 wickets including one beauty from mishra) , and this bodes reasonably for our Badree bet (Now into 25-1) as the WI play all their group games in Mirpur.

The other ground, Chittagong, is quicker, more dew, tougher for spinners and this is the Eng/SA/Sri Lanka group

Obviously not great news for the Pakistan outright bet either.

Pakistan's batting (as in the last warm up game) was shit.  I tried to think of a more descriptive word but that pretty much sums it up.

The only positive for the bet is that the bowlers look very hard to score against and so if they do manage to put some runs on the board they will be a tough team to beat.  Defeat against Australia will kill the bet unfortunately

Yet again India's pace bowlers look weak and whilst the batting is strong, it's not as good as previous world cups.   Can't help but think WI shouldn't be (significant) underdogs for Sunday's game - they are 13/10 at the moment, what do you think Tighty?

Now 6/5 best.

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/t20-world-cup

Tighty seemed to agree with you, too.

Yes, no, wait awhile?

Doesn't look like it will get back up to 13/10.  Tighty has West Indies as the most under-rated team and I have India as the most over-rated team in the tournament, so it's probably a good spot to bet.  If it's pretty much a coin flip like we both think, then the 6/5 still looks good value.

Much better from Pakistan this morning, Australia are going to have to bat really well to chase down 191.  Fairly confident this one will go our way.

Australia were a lay for this tournament

No spinner, of any import (got to spin it, preferably with a doosra/wrong un)

Carrying three players in the field. Hogg is 43, Hdge late 30s, Bollinger just slow

Of course their batting is their strength, the boundaries are in, but they are never 3-1 shots to win the whole thing

Just watch Saeed Ajmal here, a real craftsman against big hitters

A quick "good luck" from me, (I confess to a financial interest) & hopefully, all Freddies, to Chompy.

Although he needed a 2nd bullet, I gather he is well placed in the Luton £150, (Top 3 stack?) though it no doubt helped that he had Vinni on his table.

Not sure what time it re-starts today, but I wish him well.

I generally avoid the premiership but looking at Southampton at Spurs today.

11/4 to win
8/5 DNB

Southampton are becoming a very decent team and Spurs are very inconsistent.

Not a recommendation but anyone got a view?

I liked Southampton in this one and was also having a look at overs on the goal markets.

Great write up Tighty, good luck Chompy.

Red Bull Salzburg are home to Wiener Neustadt and can win the League this afternoon. Their last home games have read 5-0, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0 with two 4-0's before that. Their recent Head to Head against today's opponents is 5-1, 8-0, 5-1, 6-0. Wiener Neustadt happen to have the worst defence in the League as well.

Salzburg to score over 5.5 goals with Carols, £25 @ 13/2 (6/1 with HillBillies).

Come on you Red Bulls.

Should add that I read this yesterday on Twitter by someone who I usually follow in on these types of bets.

Surprised Tighty didn't post this photo from the weekend (apologies if he did).

Anyone know where it is?

Aussies batting lineup is pretty ridiculous even tho they got a few pub fielders and a saga holiday spinner
