I think laying Everton on betfair at 1.42 or any better variant elsewhere is a good bet against Palace. I have no penchant of sticking to facts and straying away from hyperbole in support of my team, so no attempt at an explanation but maybe someone else can see this as a bet as well?

Loving the Speith debate.
Golf is so much between the ears and if at 20 when he should have so little to worry about apart from beating about 70 other players. If he continues beating himself and his Caddie up for playing badly, making mistakes, he is going to have to go a lot further then somebody with equal/lesser talent but a better mentality.
He is good, really good, but his inability to keep calm could be the difference between having a record like Westwoods and having one like Tiger's. He will win comps and he will make millions of dollars but he could be one of the best and that's a shame if he never quite converts because he can't sort his head out.
America is so desperate for a new "great white hope"in golf, they seem to have destroyed Rickie with pressure to succeed and he is level headed, brainbox with what appears wisdom beyond his years (but very bad dress sense), Speith will have far more pressure then just winning a major or two - America expects to have the world number one, expects to have the same player in contention every Sunday afternoon, that is huge pressure for a 20 year old with a panchant for calling his Caddy a ****ing idiot for passing him a club he asked for, does not fit the bill for me.
Not sure where you get the Spieth comments to his caddy from. If you google Spieth Caddy and Bubba caddy, it isn't Spieth who comes across with an unhealthy relationship with his caddy. People really should cut him some slack.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

He Can not win in a way. If yesterday he didnt seem bothered as the masters slipped from his grasp people would say he didnt care. A little heart on your sleave go's a long way he will learn to control it and only let it out when he can, kinda like Bubba. SO emotional gave a small fist pump on 17 when he was a 99.999% lock and when he went for the putt on the 18th his emotions were all starting to come out when he had won it. If he was leading and making no mistakes i think he would have controlled his emotions a lot better.
A lot like people on the poker table!

Anyone else super impressed with Jonas Blixt yesterday? Thought he was arguably the one to take out of it, especially at the future expected prices
Yes - I posted on Twitter that as all the attention was elsewhere he was just getting it done at every hole. I backed him quite a few times in running and he did nothing wrong at all and managed it better than both Watson and Spieth imo. Spieth in particular just seems unable to handle the adrenalin rushes. Everytime he did something good literally his next shot was a mess. Think Bubba will be a good player to oppose next year. He admitted he didn't handle the responsibilities of being champion well and has come out and said he will do better but the fact it is on his mind and the fact he doesn't seem to deal well with being flustered suggests it might get to him again. He effectively won the tournament on the back nine on Friday. Just not sure he is a player to be trusted when up against players that can get it done under pressure.

As Dubai pointed out he is 5/2-on betfair. Been thinking about this price myself today. Think it's the right price unforts. Would rather back Gerrard at evens+ if they win the league.

Worst price of the year? Will anti-rail Liverpool now, as on Lewis at 10-1.

Don't think the british public have taken to him at all. Gerrard I believe is very well liked and with Liverpool@4-5 to win the league-should they do so I make him a 4-5 shot too. So around 5-2, but we can't bet it strictly as a double so 2-1 is fair imo.

Not sure why they are a lay? Palace have been fantastic as of late but especially at home. I believe Saturday's result saw them more or less 100% safe (100-1 to go down) and I can imagine some of them may have celebrated as such. Not that Pullis would have intentionally allowed it! For Everton to be a lay either they are over-rated-or Palace are under-rated by the market. I cannot see how this can be the case here. If anything i'd be backing Everton on the handicap markets tbh.
