Norwich look doomed. Sunderland arguably the most likely candidates (timing!)

What we have is a horse race with one to jump and a long run home. Choc Thornton is riding the one a couple of lengths in front. Behind him is McCoy on a rough and ready horse that he seems to be having to work to get in contention and a couple of horses that have made moves from the back but might be too late. We have the chance to lay the leader at 1/12, knowing it's reliant on the ones behind it. It's a small liability from our end, knowing most of the time we are going to see a surprised Alice Plunkett interviewing Ads's favourite.

Yes, we'd sooner have the points in the bag, but this could easily be a last day sweat and I'd not fancy being on Villa in a fight.

Very different from winning the vermeille which is what Chompy was proposing.   Price doesn't look special to me when she is 3/1 Arc alone.

That's the sort of ref'ing that will stop players diving in the EPL in the sunderland game.

Outside the box and arguably didn't deny a goalscoring opportunity. Apart from that, good decision.

Matters not a jot that it started outside the box, great to see a ref apply this rule at last

"if a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area but continues holding inside the area, the referee shall award a penalty kick"

Well the arm that he grabbed was outside the box but his feet were in.

Not sure how you figure that's not a shooting chance, or as your lot would call it a firing chance.

Tighty's snout was not entirely accurate about chelski's team.

Kalas and Ba start.

The point is he still had the chance of a shot on goal. Not saying it wasn't a red, but it's an argument.

Anyone who can count in seconds confirm the advantage rule there? About six seconds I make it, absolute joke refereeing, allows Sunderland to completely freeroll Cardiff.

Horrific refereeing.

It's exactly the point. How can he have denied a goal scoring opportunity when the attacker got a shot off?

Horrific refereeing.

In NHL ice-hockey, after a foul has been committed the ref raised his hand in the air but allows play to continue until a member of the defending team touches the puck giving the attacking team the chance to score before blowing up for the foul. It works well and I like it.

I'm not sure how long should be allowed for an advantage to ensue in football under the current rules but I'd like to see them adopt the ice-hockey method as it's really clear-cut.

rule in football is three seconds.

NHL or rugby method (taking ball over gain line) works for me. Problem with NHL method as directly applied is ball never goes out of play where as imagine advantage, player shoots, misses and now it's a GK. Does that mean you can still award a pen even though they've missed a clear chance? I'd say definitely not.
