Hawkins gets a 500 point start against Ronnie on the spreads. I know it's a longer match and this could go wrong, but fancy Hawkins to make a match of this. 13-3 against Murphy resulted in Ronnie winning by 630 points or so.
Selby gets about 270 points against Robbo for anyway interested. Might sell them both and cover my eyes.
def agree with the ronnie v hawk prediction. The final between them last year was probably the highest standard final ever at the world's and the Hawk would probably have beaten anyone else in the game in that final and have become world champion.

I must apologise on Watford's behalf for their rather petulant showing this year. It is not for lack of playing ability. Unfortunately the last 2 games they have looked as they simply don't care and want to be on holiday.
I was interested to note that they had the most yellow cards in the top two divisions - nearly 100 this season. Which is interesting given that at least half the first XI walk around with handbags during the game

Would suggest taking up Patrick Pow on the Punchestown offer on the 4.15 with Ned Buntline.
Mr Carberry and his ridic waiting tactics have been substituted for the more obvious talents of Mr McCoy and I cant see this being out of the frame, unless it falls.
I managed a massive £18, so you may get the full £25 of the offer with money back if he is 2nd or 3rd
T&C say max £50 ....maybe just for ice creams!
Done....Fred can have £25 if he wants?
At 9/2 money back special? yes please, ty
Thanks Nick.
Do you want me to settle up now, or after the race?
Do I owe you for any other bets placed?
We're all square, settle up after.

Sterling banned for life. No idea how that impacts the next game.....I have bet GSW already but not sure I would now.
Swift, decisive, & strong.
An example that other sport ruling bodies would do well to emulate.
As much as I abhor racism, I think that recording someone's private conversation in their own home and then broadcasting it to the world and prosecuting them for it sets a very dangerous precedent.
If that were always the case, I would now be doing 12 months for saying what I would like to do to Natasha Kaplinsky.
Fair comment, Tom, & the Boston Globe, amongst many others, agree with you....

So, because the release of a private audio recording was arguably improper, what would you do now, if you were the NBA Commission? Ignore it? Not sure that kite flies.
When I first found out about punishment meted to out Sterling by the NBA I was thrilled, and, in a way, I still am I suppose.
But. (There's always a but) Sometimes the guilty have to go free to preserve the integrity of the laws and lawmakers that would seek to prosecute them.
Why bother with a trial for the killers of Lee Rigby? We all saw them standing in the street with blood on their hands. We knew that they were guilty. But the trial wasn't for their benefit, it was for the benefit of every subsequent person who finds themselves with the unfortunate title of "The Accused".
Why did OJ Simpson walk free when we all knew that he was guilty? Because the evidence had been tampered with, rendering it inadmissible. Did that mean he was innocent? Of course not, but the next man to be tried using unsound evidence might be.
If the law is wrong, then change the law, don't just ignore it when it suits you. If the law is right, you have to uphold it for everyone, whether they deserve it or not.
Now I know this isn't really about the law, but it's about what's right, and if it's right to record and broadcast Sterling's private conversation, then it's right to do the same thing to the rest of us.
Precedents can be very dangerous things.

Good post red.
Note however that Stirling has effectively admitted that he said those things.
If he'd have contested it I think that would be enough to make the NBA think deeply about whether they wanted to use evidence which was potentially illegally obtained to take action.
Note also that the NBA cannot be held to the same standard a court must be wrt evidence and propriety. There's no reason why they should be as Stirling always has the opportunity to contest NBA decision in a court.

I'm not saying it WAS right to broadcast them, but it's out there now, so what I am saying is do you just let everything drop because the info was obtained improperly?
If the NBA had not acted, I'm pretty sure the players would have taken matters into their own hands.
It IS tricky, I agree, & I'm not sure what is right & proper.
It just seems that the guy is not fit & proper to own an NBA franchise, all things considered.

I agree with both you and mulhuzz, and I agree with what the NBA did, although I would have liked to see the players / fans take matters into their own hands.
I just wanted to point out that there is a downside to all this, and the end doesn't always justify the means.

FYI a horse I have bet on to win has never won in a PP Money Back offer and none of my horses have been placed in order to get the refund.

And the Rooney to stay bet lands.
Athletico Madrid are well worth a punt for the CL at 50/1 e/w with SportingBet. Woulda done a write up for Fred but the price has generally crashed plus it takes forever to type stuff up with one good arm.
Bumped, for the record.
This was the first suggestion.
Some months later, Aaron also went for them at 20/1.
To be fair, I expect every team in the CL have been suggested at some stage by someone, but McGlashan gets the honours. Hope you had plenty on.
Thanks McGlashan, and thanks Aaron for badgering me into backing them again.
Such a small write up for such a good bet.
Ah the very sort blurted out tip that was missing a write up, there is an explanation.
That was during my recovery period for a shoulder operation. It was a strain to type a whole sentence on my i-phone in one go without being overcome with pain. I kept delaying doing a write up on them then everyone else began to notice it was a bit or a rick and the price came in.
Undoubtedly I could of done it more justice and prioritised my posts to better effect at the time.
