Thanks to whoever put up the safety car bet.
Chicken dinners all-round.
No problem! Although it wasn't actually taken for this thread - but I'm glad you got on anyway :-)

This Grand Prix is a Peter-72 benefit.
Who is Peter-72?!

A profit of £52 on the Canadian GP with Hulkenberg 5th and the accident at the end sneaking the second Mclaren into the points, might have crept in anyway
Well done.
Thanks! Although it seems like the McLaren bet was uncertain - it was actually the other way round, the Hulkenberg bet was the one we got lucky with! He was 6th for a long time, but towards the end of the race (unseen by the World TV feed because of the chaos upfront), Button got past both Alonso and Hulkenberg, dropping Hulkenberg to 7th. He then got promoted to 5th due to the Perez/Massa incident, saving our bet.
Cheers for the congratulations and kind words all.

Funnily enough, Hamilton did not get pole, fastest lap, or the win! So that bet went terribly.
And for those wondering about my Sky Poker £10 F1 bet challenge, I was returned £11.08 (a profit of £1.08).

Morning Mr T2.
Warrington comfortably beat Bradford and will play Leeds in the semi final. Personally I prefer that draw to Castleford, but I am in the minority.
The ATP now moves into the grass season and in the Queens tournament I like Marin Cilic. He has won two tournaments already this season and has reached the final of this tournament in the last 2 seasons. He played well in the French, taking a set off Djokovic, and has had an extra week to prepare for the change of surface. He is also in the other half of the draw to Murray, who is the man to beat.
Suggest £10 e/w Cilic @ 14-1 with Bwin but the 12-1 with Ladbrokes, Coral and Hlls is OK too.

Morning all. This time difference thing sucks.
Just caught up
, well done on a successful Derby outcome.
Lovely result in the Germany - Armenia affair, thanks McGlashan.
Who gave us the Oaks winner? (Taghrooda). Well done, anyway, ditto for "Abseil".
Shame England spoiled the party v the AB.
well...
Should have said "with the important stuff".......
Where you watching the game tomorrow? I'll be playing Downtwn, @ GN, but if I get busted in time, I'll come join you, & explain how it all works.
Tal-Bloke flies out tomorrow (Sunday), too, arrives mid-afternoon I assume, he's on the Virgin jobbie from Gatters.
We could have a proper Fred-gathering. Tal gave us a winner earlier this week. Who'd have thunk?
Did you play the Seniors?
Played the 1500 wsop last night. Got to 24k from 4500 then lost every pot. Giving the 1k a spin today but if out up for NBA game 2. Am meeting mates for beers downtown at 8 or. 9 so if there's anywhere down there to watch it first I'd be up for that. Prefer a bar to a sports book tho. On English number or have a Vegas no, +17022871365
Was downtown all afternoon Jeff, but could not get Wifi anywhere, & never had my 'phone with me, so had no idea where you might be.
Would have stayed down there, but a bit of a misunderstanding arose in my PLO8 thing.

Cycling
Very long shot this one, but since Bradley Wiggins has announced that he will nit be part of the Sky team at this years Tour de France, there has been an awful lot of momentum behind a campaign to get him to ride. I have a suspicion that one way or another he might find a way to be on the start line in July, this could even be for another team, I suspect there may be a move from Orica Green Edge for him.
If he gets a ride, He definitely has the firm right now to make the podium. As I said, a long shot as there is every chance that he won't start the race, but a £10 E/W bet is worth a punt in my opinion as his odds have gone out massively where bets are still available, I suggest taking the best odds you can possibly get, Betfair seems to be the best option right now.
will Sky release him?

A speculative one, but
Brendan Dolan
is currently playing very well in the current World Cup of Darts and has been instrumental in their run to the semis.
He is also 2nd in the current Pro Tour Rankings (floor tournaments) only to Michael van Gerwen and the
Gibraltar Open
(starts 27th June) is, although in front of a crowd, is played over the Pro Tour format of best of 11 and Dolan has won two tournaments this year.
Only Victor have priced it up, but
50/1
seems on the fat side for a guy playing at his current level. I certainly wouldn't be scared of anyone he drew in any round.
Could possibly want to wait for other firms to price up, but I'm already on and if a higher price becomes available, I reckon I'll top up anyway.
Telling that Victor have shortened him to 66/1 for the Matchplay as well, I reckon.
A possible small each way consideration.
darts people, thoughts please

Betunfair sportsbook go 3/1 Argentina to reach final. Next best is 9/4, and beats e/w price in the winner too so guess this is decent value?

I like the thinking behind this bet, but I can't second it for two reasons:
1. It's very unlikely that Sky will let Wiggo go before the end of the season ... still plenty of races to win
sans
Froome.
2. Even with Wiggo in cracking form, the podium looks set to me ... Froome, Contador, Valverde/Nibali/Rodriguez?
Obviously, Wiggo will win it now

would you be backing Contador at 5/2 , in his rejuvenated form in 2014 to beat Froome/Sky?
is there any e/w podium value..markets pay 1/4 1,2,3 and Nibali and up are 8/1 (2/1 a place...)

Quite like Nibali ew for the Tour. Think his record is a podium finish in 6/7 last Grand tour events, and a friend of mine who is big into it thinks he is peaking for the tour.
Disclaimer, this has only been picked up in watching 3 months of cycling.
