Croatia to kick off first tonight 1.9

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/brazil-v-croatia/team-to-kick-off

I have been told that the away team have kicked off first every year since 1990. Don't know how to find out if that is true.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not available with any bookies with shops. Grrrrrr

Thank you Mrs B.

very good

did brazil win the toss and choose ends?

or was the winner of the toss given the kick off?

i wasn't sure

The actual rule for football is:

The winner of the toss chooses which direction to kick in, loser kicks off.

Whether they change this for World Cups, or even just the first game, seems unlikely.

You would think that if they did change it, both teams wouldn't be 10/11 pre game.

Minded to think it's just coincidence.

Serves me right for taking Croatia and the draw double chance early on in play in the match. Painful to see that. Also I really should have factored in how poor Pletikosa is.

Evening Mr T2.

I think we should re-invest a part of our Matosevic winnings on Huddersfield to beat Leeds tonight in super league.

Suggest £15 Huddersfield @ 15/8 with Betfred.

....and another winner, thank you. You can certainly smell value, hector.

Off to hook up with Jaffa & Posh Bloke at the Venetian now, to watch the hoops. (hoops is NBA see?)

Not sure which shirt to wear, Arsenal or Newcastle.

I can buy either at Sports Direct of course. They should knight that Mike Ashley for services to football. Legend. Hero even.

any other player for mvp at 60/1 is probably close to fav for nba now after Spurs take a 3-1 lead with game 5 at SA on Sunday night.  Spurs will be around a 1/2 shot for game 5.  Leonard has put up two huge games esp tonight with 20 points 14 rebounds 3 assists 3 steals and 3 blocks.  It seems unfair for any one player to win the mvp award on this Spurs team as its the most unselfish team orientated title winner in NBA history.

Croatia kicked off World Cup 2014.

Landing Sonour a tidy little 1.9 shot.

Neymar scored twice.

And Oscar added a third.

Both great news for various Fred bets (not Fred the Footballer).

Only bad news about the World Cup so far.

We're stuck with that clown.

Spain meanwhile are stuck with her.

Dummy's spat out in Brazil prior to kick off.

I think UEFA needs the same you French twat.

Ever wondered what an International Manager makes?

£6.7m to not win anything can't be bad.

Jesus with Pirlo.

Judas with a rag.

Old guy playing Football.

In other news Hector kicked off with this guy.

And then added these.

Hector knows.

Later.

What do you think has happened with Heat in the finals?

I remember you saying Lebron carries them most of the time, so I'm guessing that he is just somewhat burned out after a long season?

The analysts on the telly were mooting Boris Diaw as a possible outsider, given how well he played today. Have to assume it's Parker or Duncan, short of something magical.

I'm one of the "the field"/"anyone else not mentioned" punters, so am thinking Diaw would be a good one?

As somebody mentioned, most of us can't be sure who was listed when 'any other' was the option, but he sounds good to me.
