Murray plays Stepanek today at Queens - he's very likely to win, but Stepanek knows his way round a grass court.  It's his best surface imo and I think the veteran will give Murray a game and should hold his serve pretty effectively.

I'm buying games/points on the spreads, but 5/6 on over 20 games in this match is a decent bet I think.   Available in 2 spots, not sure if Fred has accesss.  £30 to win £25 perhaps.

yup, sportingbet

        Bet Type: Single
            Stepanek, R v Murray, A Total Games
                Over(+20) 5/6
        Possible Payout 36.67 GBP
    1 bet @
    20.00 GBP

    Total Cost: 20.00 GBP
Total Possible Payout (inc. stake): 36.67 GBP

Think this one has come in just.  Stepanek's performance was almost too good as he beat Murray 7-6 6-2, but 21 games good enough.

yes, another winner, thanks

not quite how we expected, but a good call that stepanek was a polished grass court performer

This bet reminded me of a game years ago when i first came into the industry when one of the spread firms reported a massive sell of total games in a Martina Hingis game when she was about a 1/100 fav.  The punter sold games at 18.5 for £10k a game or something like that.  The underdog won the game 6-1 6-2 and the punter still copped £35k on the bet even though he literally couldn't have called the game more wrong.

Under 35 goals First 16 Group Games with Winner.com 2/1

Spreadex 35.8 - 37.3
Sporting Index 36.5 - 38

These quotes slightly higher due to the nature of spread betting with unlimited upside but low downside. 2/1 Looks great, spoke to redarmi and he thought it looked pretty good. Really struggled to get on myself, but finally reactivated my neteller and got a bit on. Recommend £50 for Fred if they have an account. I'd also be keen on a bob or two if anyone can get on.

Warning: Despite the firm being legit (on betting emporium etc) Natwest blocked my card after trying to deposit on the site.

Croatia to kick off first tonight 1.9

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/brazil-v-croatia/team-to-kick-off

I have been told that the away team have kicked off first every year since 1990. Don't know how to find out if that is true.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not available with any bookies with shops. Grrrrrr

don't absolutely quote me on this, but I feel like the winner of the coin toss gets kick off now, there is no option....

My long shot bets that I would like you to add to the world cup list...I posted it a few weeks ago on The World Cup thread after The Ecuador Match

I noticed tonight that Cahill and Jagielka went up for every corner/set piece and obv both scored

England are in a difficult group D and are favourites with the bookies not to progress so if that is the case they would only play 3 games so an odd goal could decide the Top England goalscorer market .

Historically these markets have quite often resulted in dead / joint dead heats so with our two first choice centre halves priced at 40 and 80-1 respectively they could be worth a small punt at fancy prices.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/england/top-goalscorer

Seen as though I dont post on here often I would like you to bet

£20 Cahill @40-1   and  £20 Jags @80-1  Top England Goalscorer

any other opinions on this

personally, i really struggle with thinking either are "value"

needs a perfect storm of events

- england go out
- england score very few goals only
- and even then you are possibly only hoping for a dead heat
- we're assuming both go up for corners
- there won't be too many corners in the manaus game anyway?

that said, cahill has 3 in 24 caps, and is a 1 in 10 man over 330 club games

Jagielka has 2 in 26 caps and is a 1 goal in 15 man over 550 club games

personally, i think i'd be wanting better than 40 or 80-1 over a 3-5 game stretch which is what this will be

but if the thread wants the bets on, i will put them on

see what the consensus suggests...

Are you writing for Sporting Life, Fraser?

One of their guys has just put Jagielka up, and said that Cahill was the other he liked Cheesy

Hi Mark  ( hope you are well )

I put this up originally on May the 30th on the World Cup football discussions thread (Jags was 100 then ) but no connection with The Sporting Life.

Just Thought it was worth a punt at decent prices for a small amount however it definitely doesn't need to go out for a discussion   Smiley

Hi Fraser,

Not too bad thanks, and I'll be even better when Jagielka gets us weighed in Wink

Seems you're not alone, and no doubt a few of us have jumped on too.

Good luck mate!

Evening Mr T2.

I think we should re-invest a part of our Matosevic winnings on Huddersfield to beat Leeds tonight in super league.

Suggest £15 Huddersfield @ 15/8 with Betfred.

Morning Mr T2.

I was glad to see you had noticed what a nice grass court game Matosevic played in beating Cilic. It reminded me of watching Nastase and Gerrulitis playing. Today he is up against Tsonga and having watched the first set Tsonga played yesterday against Goffin, I think that Matosevic is a decent bet to win. Tsonga was troubled by Goffins range of shot and only looked comfortable when he was in power baseline rallies. At odds of over 3-1 I really like the Matosevic bet.

Suggest £20 Matosevic to beat Tsonga @ 7/2 with Betfair.

Top tipping hector, thank you.
