agreed no big deal at all.  I just don't get it and neither do any of my close mates who have skyped or emailled me about it this week.  No worries we will move on and get it back to business.

i don't think i should do £100 e/w personally, got the william hill float/portfolio structure to think about but we are on anyway

I am glad you took that view, Rich, although I'm not against the bet as such.

We have forward investments of £2,700 approx, & whilst these have historically been shown to be profitable, we'll have tons of "season bets" in the next few days & weeks (I hope). We need to leave enough room for them, as they tie cash up for so long.

I know we encouraged laying out a few bob, over £500, on The Open Golf, but that was only of 4 days duration, so we got the cash back, & thus the utility of it, very quickly.

Same next week, with Goodwood, I hope we'll invest a good few bob & have some fun, but we'll get it back, or not, within a day or two.

A very long time ago - 2 years maybe? - & for reasons I can't recall, we backed, with Labrokes I think, the resuly of a hyped up potential match race betwen Usain Bolt & I've Forgotten His Name.

It never happened, of course.

Is the bet still, in theory, live, or did we get refunded?
