Tighty and others, when do we start thinking about backing the Cowboys to beat the 49ers on 7 September?

Two very heavy defeats in preseason so far (aggregate of 57-3) contract disputes, a reportedly very unhappy dressing locker room and playing away against a team that can only attack.

Currently 21/10 for the Cowboys to win. 5.5 points the spread, if that appeals instead, although I think that's about the same anyway.

I really wouldn't pay much attention to the preseason games.  They are totally meaningless.  Kaepernick has taken less than a fifth of snaps in the first two games, Frank Gore only had two rushing attempts so far and Vernon Davis doesn't appear to have caught a ball at all.  If there is a preseason game to take notice of in any way it is normally the third one which is this week.  Of course the other issues you mention are somewhat important although I find that kind of stuff is less important in the NFL than other sports.  You can't really enter the field in the NFL without being fully committed because you might get hurt if you do so there is less of the sulky, prima donna crap you might get in football or other sports (in before someone mentions TO)

Even if you're restricted they'll often let you have more of a flick over the phone, depending on which trader you get and in what kind of mood I guess.

Yes, fair point, I just can't get my head round making phone calls to make bets, I try & hide my phone all day in case it rings.

We discussed being against Celtic after the first Champions league game and I proposed backing St Johnstone which was echoed by Teacake and he suggested getting on Maribor tonight.  I nearly suggested backing Dundee United at the weekend but if being results orientated that would have been egg on the face.  Despite pumping them 6 - 1 we still looked out of shape and ragged at the back and anyone with a decent striker will score against us.  Take into account our record in Europe away from home I can't ever have us as favourites to win tonight, we might do enough to qualify if we can keep the game close tonight. 

Not sure of the best way of getting against Celtic not sure if its best to back Maribor outright or to lay Celtic on the Asian.  Welcome to thoughts here.  I honestly can;t see Celtic winning, I don't think we should be favourites I think at best we scrape a draw but for my money we're not capable of keeping a clean sheet so its going to come down to whether we can score and I have doubts over that.

Ha, no he is not, but Tighty IS having a bad day at the blonde Mods Office, so we ought to tread careful.

The point is right, though, where possible, especially on obscure stuff such as Ukranian Women's Football, some sort of reasoning or logic would really be helpful to everyone.

I don't speak for anyone else, but personally, I can't bet something like that as a "blind tip". I'm deffo not having a poop, Mr Ex, just trying to clarify.

All those things, but "at what price" mostly, as the market must be wafer thin, & a great bet at (say) 2/1 would be poo @ 6/4.
