Looking forward to seeing United's 3-1-6 formation after the international break.

Morning Mr T.

A new month and I hope that means I can rid myself of the habit of putting the losing tips on Fred whilst backing lots of winners off thread.

The tennis is getting to the interesting stage. I will be backing Tsonga to beat Murray, who hasn't beaten any top 10 player since his Wimbledon win in '13, but the 6/5 is a bit stingy to put that one up. Instead I think Robredo is a bet to beat Wawrinka. They have met twice on hard courts in the last 2 years and are 1 apiece. What tips Robredo for me is that he is having his best ever hard court year, including a victory over Djokovic, and his performance over Kyrgios in the last round. I think Kyrgios is a very similar player  to Wawrinka and Robredo dealt with his big serve and weight of shot. Over the 4 sets they played Robredo only made 15 unforced errors which is an amazing feat. So tonight the plan is keep the ball in play and let Wawrinka beat himself.

Suggest £20 Robredo @ 9/5 with Betfair.

Flick in £25 at 4/1 about Edele being top woman in celebrity big brother please. BMU.

A two-horse race this and Edele seems to be the chosen one ahead of White Dee, who's fading more and more into the background.

4/5 Dee, 4 Edele is out of sync with the outright market. Is it just me or does Edele look like Margot Kidder?

the BMU market is as follows

 Top Female - Outright
Dee Kelly 4/5
Edele Lynch 10/3
Kellie Maloney 13/2
Stephanie Pratt 7/1
Angelique Morgan 9/1
Claire King 12/1
Lauren Goodger 14/1

you want some 100/30 or did i miss it?

I find Corals so strange. I shouldn't really, I guess they are just poor at internal communications, staffed by people who fail to understand the business and riddled with incompetence.

I was just looking at their ad today...

Big letters...5/1 Murray to win in straight sets...slightly smaller letters...get it while it lasts...very small letters max bet £20...online, mobile, phones only.

So this trades at 5.8ish on the exchange and an arber in a magic no-commission world could make about £2. Woohoo...that will get them rushing, presumably the marketing department thought doing something with Murray would be great for PR. They now go 3/1 which presumably means it didn't really last and that the shop punters who are the only loyal ones who aren't price sensitive are now getting the shitty end of the stick (apart from the massive teams of arbers who would have been all over that £2 if they were allowed).

I'm assuming also that many accounts who asked for £20 at 5/1 are restricted and they get £2 at 5/1. Meanwhile on oddschecker the price has shown at 3/1 all morning.

Meanwhile the 5/1 price is staring at me all day whenever I'm glancing at the form for the Leicester 2.10.

Is it really worth it? Wouldn't life be better for everyone if they could just...you know...have a think about what price they'd quite like to lay, put the price up and fucking lay it.

Surely today's PR was more bad than good.

In another comical big 4 story this morning Bald have been deliberately bigger than bf for the No vote in Scotland for nearly a week now.  Whenever No drifts bald decides to push it out even further than bf (this morning bf 1.21-1.22 tight for thousands either side.  Bald yday decided to go 1/4 having slowly drifted from 1/5 2/9 all last week whilst bf was drifting.  Given this behaviour over a whole week i got the impression one of two things was happening at Bald in Warrington.  1 - The bald weasal actually wants to lay a bet on this. 2- He has a big liability on Yes having laid some lumpy wages. Remember this is a market on bf which has more traded on it than an average EPL game so it's not exactly a mickey mouse betting heat.

I decide to go to a shop i have never been to before and ask for £2400 to win £600 thinking this should be readily accepted and call into the bank to get some more cash and drive to another shop as Bald has spent the best part of a week trying to lay No as he has deliberately gone bigger than bf all week.  Manager makes the phone call and i get offered an £200/£800 (nothing else offered at a shorter price either to make up the balance of the bet).  As i leave the shop i go on oddschecker and bald has gone from top price on his own 1/4 to actually being virtually bottom price 2/11 No within 30 seconds of my bet being placed.  I don't mind if they don't want to lay a bet that's their choice.  What i don't understand is why they have spent a week trying to constantly be top price in the village then a cash punter wants to have a decent (hardly life changing) bet at a very short price and they do this.  Why not just sit in the middle at 1/5 all week and save yourself the hassle of constantly monitoring the markets and going stand out on your own top price all week when you will only lay a bet to lose £200 on something you appear so keen to lay.

That is so typical and totally baffling to me also. See examples of this on high profile markets all the time. I could understand someone dozing on the job with a low key market which only gets interesting every now and then and where massive news has caused a sudden big change. No such excuses here.
