They are funny.

My friend 'Bob' asked them to settle this weather market. They said they couldn't as 2014 isn't over. Bob explained that they only quoted up to October in the market. They said that was because November and December were 'unlikely'.

Bob asked for prices on November and December. They said that they needed to know how much he wanted to bet on November and December first as that could affect the price. Otherwise they couldn't give prices.

Am I awake or is this a dream?

hills lol 'novelty' compiler obviously on his last written warning for awful work and trying to stall as long as possible before the losses hit 'his' figures and the P45 arrives as he needs to be able to afford xmas first! Grin

TBF we have just had the hottest halloween on record recording a scorching 73degrees.  Maybe they think November has a squeak!  Only 20 spots to find. All the best of British.

Might try a few funny tweets to try and embarrass them into action......

ok tweeting worked...I'm paid.
I did ask for everyone....so check....otherwise I guess its on a request basis  Roll Eyes

Thanks ripple, my online ones have been paid.

Has anyone been paid in a shop yet please ?

I can't help but be reminded of the late lamented John Martyn's classic album "Bless The Weather" with the wonderful opening line:

"Looking at me you're not going to see what a working man's about..."

As an FYI, while I'm perusing the spreadsheet, Fred has six bets due to be settled this month:

25-Feb   F1 Drivers Champion   Hamilton   3/1   £30
14-Mar   F1  Drivers Championship   Bottas   50/1 £10 e/w 1/5 1,2,3
18-Jun   F1 Drivers championship   Rosberg   6/5   £50

3-Jul   SPOTY   Froch   11/1         £10 e/w 1/5 1,2,3
3-Jul   SPOTY   Wilkinson   12/1      £10 e/w 1/5 1,2,3

14-Jul.   WSOP Main event   Jacobsen   8/1   £125

We should record a small win in the F1. The SPOTY bets were in the hope no one else did much, which hasn't exactly gone to plan. We have two who should make the final ten though. Get voting! In the meantime, funk for Jacobsen.

The old midweek bottom beats top championship curse strikes again. Where do we want Watford to finish again?

Different game, mate. Watford lost to Birmingham. But yes, happiness is a good thing and to be encouraged Smiley

Turned your game off at 3-0. How much did you win by in the end?

Been a while since I've put a MMA bet up but if I remember correctly it's a winning sport for us, albeit with a tiny sample, so I thought I may as well start throwing the odd one up here again. I absolutely detest the thought of people losing money backing my stuff so please keep stakes small.

The bet is for Soa Palelei to win in the 1st round of his fight this Friday (UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Bisping) with Walt Harris and it can be backed at 7/4 with 888, Unibet and 32red according to Oddschecker. Actually, do we have any of those? If not, one of the main stream operators may open at the same price as the week goes on. Victor goes 11/10 which is my kind of feeling of the right price.

http://www.oddschecker.com/ufc-mma/soa-palelei-v-walt-harris/round-betting

As a background to my MMA betting, I've been a fan of the sport for many years and have watched thousands of fights, and previously wrote for one of the top UK MMA sites, as well as my work with Betpal. It's still a developing sport and I feel I perhaps have a small edge in knowledge which allows me to pick out some decent bets.

Palelei and Harris are heavyweights, a funny division with very few real quality fighters, and neither of these guys are likely to be challenging the upper echelons of the division any time soon. In fact, Harris was recently released before winning one fight outside the UFC to make his return.

Anyway, that's all mumbo jumbo. Palelei is a worthy favourite, and as short as 4/9 in places. He was won all of his 21 career wins inside the distance so my opinion was that if looking to back the Australian we should look at the sub markets: evens to win by TKO/KO and the aforementioned 7/4 to win in the first round. He has won 17 times by TKO/KO and 16 times in the 1st round throughout his career so that alone has me favouring the R1 bet at the prices. Plus, he's not renowned as the most blessed cardiovascular-wise so if it escapes the first round he may be in trouble.

Harris is a better athlete who has a fair amount of power himself but not technically superb so I see the fight playing out with Palelei taking the American down when he goes for a power strike early and from there Palelei will use his superior ground game to work himself into a position to do damage with his vicious ground and pound. Palelei cuts weight to make the 265lb limit so good luck getting him off you.

The fight is something like 8/13 to finish in the first round so like the 7/4 for Palelei to be the one to do it. Recommend £30.
