Sorry, didn't realise there was a number one rule.

Nobody ever gets more than a score on these twitchy markets anyway.

Louie Spence looks big at 50-1.

Ha backed him anyway, but why?

i did both just for an interest.

wouldn't anticipate being able to get much on anywhere for this, as far as the thread goes

following on from our lay "success" on Liverpool last night

I like Roma to win tonight at over 6/4

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/roma-v-man-city/winner

obviously the market knows Aguero and Yaya are missing, but these are big absences at exactly the wrong time

we also know that it will be a hostile atmosphere

A score draw is probably enough for City, so Roma have to go for it to an extent (i think, there are plenty of permutations)

Watched the first game, thought Roma and especially Pjanic were good value

your thoughts welcome

Roma are decent but the standard of football in serie a is way below the premier league. Lamela is probably the biggest example of this, he looked like Ronaldo at roma and just looks decent at spurs.

Also Silva and kompany are back. Dzeko and Silva equals roughly agueros out put attacking wise. Fernandinho and fernando isn't exactly a bad midfield either.

Louie Spence? Sport? Against a current GB Heptathlete? 50/1 seems stingy to me. He's got more chance of winning the Grand National on a pantomime horse (oh yes he has).

One of the curiosities of Sports Betting, in my opinion of course, is that the more niche the event/selection/market, the more you should have on.

This is a woeful oversimplification of course - you should actually be having your largest bets where the discrepancy between the available price and the 'true price' is greatest. Difficult to ever know the 'true price' mind. Bugger. The two are linked however...

Waffle, waffle, waffle

All a long, rambling way of saying next time you get a 'tip' for the Biathlon, Curling or something similar from someone who you would trust beyond the market and the odds compilers who give such markets nothing more than a fleeting glance and a reduced stake factor....barrel in.

 Wink

Don't get to pop in much nowadays but good to see Fred with what look to be some tremendous positions.

Wp team X-factor!

Cardinals v Rams

I know nothing about American football, though do watch the occasional match. One of the betting sites i use here in Aus is offering money back bet on 1st touchdown scorer if they score sometime in the game. As the odds for all players are over 10 in this market, i wouldnt mind having a 100 dollar spin. Any of you guys think any of the players is highly likely to score? Thanks for your suggestions.   geoff

Bet Tre Mason in that case.  Can't imagine its close.

City/Roma seems correctly priced but I think that the 12/1 for Nasri FGS is big given that he will be in a more advanced role tonight.

It is with Bet£3.65 so maybe worth a few pennies.

I'm having £10, will put another on for Fred if you want.
