worst decision ever on hamilton

Thanks! He was doing fine until other people won things.

Rory, try harder next year.

yes come on Rory, more than two majors please.

shocker of a decision to be fair

rory was 2/7 on betfair just before the result

Exactly.

Sick result for all those Fredites who had Rory at tiny prices in various doubles. Unlucky, all.

Genuinely surprised by that result. File it under 'Brits love their cars'. Hamilton looked genuinely shocked.

I'd hate to see the size of Caroline Wozniacki's next phone bill.

Probably paid for by Horizon Sports Management.

Last two golfers that were 2/7 on the day of Spoty both failed to win it. I don't really know why golfers poll so badly in it, GMac was a mile behind the year he won the US Open too despite being 3rd fav ish on the day.

I'd backed him with youwin, who stopped punting with the brits on December the 1st...

Ozgur didn't understand me on livechat, so I guess I'll have to fire off an email and let them know where to send my money.

Britain loves their racing drivers. For some reason they identify with them better than golfers. Must be because they drive cars and so do we?Huh?

I remember Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell winning this when they hadn't even won the championship.

A lot of golf fans are probably a bit apathetic when it comes to voting. Having said that, I'd have thought the whole of Norn Irn would have voted for Rory.

Good acceptance speech from Lewis tbf. He's not that bad.

Timing helps formula1 drivers I guess, comes just after their title is decided.

I was actually on the verge of having a decent bet on Rory when the price was ~ 1.6 as i didn't really see how he could lose. This was around 7pm, but having decided to bet, when I went back to have a look the price had suddenly collapsed to under 1.5 which fortunately put me off.

http://www.itv.com/xfactor/vote/xfactor-voting-percentages-final-2014

Seems we had a good run, but never got close enough. Ben pulled away in the end.  The Star story was both right and wrong.  Ben was clear, but only half as much as they said.

For those on the lookout for a rick,  Ladbrokes well ool on Xmas number 1, with Ben Haenow 1/5, Bruno Mars at 5/1. Others are 2/5, 5/2.

Spoils were very slow to react to last night's spoiler thread on Strictly.  Still offering Jake odds after he had gone.  That has happened 2 out of the last 3 weeks, though pretty sure it wasn't spoils that were slow last time (Backing without Pixie was a serious underound).  It also happened on occasion last year.  Sure you are risking your account if you take these odds, but seems odd we can't point it out on thread.  The fact the error keeps getting repeated maybe means there isn't as much risk as I thought.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots
