Well that wasn't the best spot for me to reply to a comment before reading the numerous posts after it, at least Marky's post saved it from being completely out of place:)

I'm new to thread and definitely don't want to see tikay and/or tighty leave! Of course if you guys feel it would benefit to do so then you have my (completely unrequired!) blessing! Although Adam introduced me to this forum/thread it's not from his input to it that I find myself checking it at least once an hour and usually not even for the betting tips though they are a very nice added bonus:) I feel like I've learnt alot here already and imo its a nice community for an online forum never mind for a betting forum, both in terms of characters and knowledge that is freely imparted across a wide variety of topics/sports. Also as has been said by many earlier Tighty's daily reports are awesome! I don't even have positions in the majority of them as many were placed before I had heard of blonde but still read them eagerly:D  So in short, like blonde, feel it still has lots to offer, hope you guys don't wanna leave, if you do though all the best and you'll be missed!

On a lighter note that Milner Christmas was cool:) Have always thought Milner was massively underrated and would be a boon for any team, have you guys seen Milner's ice bucket challenge? Again a parody of boringmilner (a parody of a parody? INSHEEPTION!), so good! Smiley

It's below our Minimum Stake these days, but I guess if we saw a £30 note on the pavement, we'd pick it up, so we have invested a whole thirty bob @ 20/1 with B365.

SC to win King George, & Chelters Gold Cup, £1.50 @ 20/1.

BET PLACED

I've done it for you, Tikay.

I'll send you the money when he wins!

What a top bloke you are, thank you very much.

£8.50 BOOKED, yes?

TYTYTY.

I backed it last week, so you can have the full £10 to make things easier.

Thanks Marky, £10 BOOKED.

Note for Tighty - just put the £10 on the Spready, I'll keep the £1.50 for myself, off-thread. That'll be Easter paid for.

SPAM ALERT, LOOK AWAY NOW

OK, that's me done until later this evening, am going pokering. £50 for busting me, Lord Grumpy, or even Anna Fowler in a fiver MTT tonight wins you £50. Value.

Evening

No racing for two days. Its a good thing this isn't hand written, as I have the shakes already.

I know you don't like multiples etc, but I do like a couple of the double related offers up for grabs on the King George/Gold Cup double.

With Ruby not sending out much positive about Champagne Fever, I can't realistically see beyond Silviniaco Conti and Al Ferof to win on Friday.

A win for either, at this stage will likely make SC, even shorter vfafor the GC than the current 8-1, and Al Ferof a whole lot shorter.

Bet 653 offer 20-1 on the double for SC, and Billy offer 66-1 for Alf.

Now, we all know that Many Clouds will win the Gold Cup, but it could be that a disgruntled anti Sherwood fan, lasers blinds him on the run in, or Nichols and Mullins do a Golden Freeze and try to knobble him, so it makes sense to have a little cover bet.

Not sure what you can get on with either, but a token tenner on each should give another arrow in the quiver, come Gold Cup day.

God bless Wm Hill, they are as good as gold.

We have a token £10 WIN DOUBLE, Wm Hill, Al Ferof to win the KG & Chelters Gold Cup.

26 Dec 2014 - To Win 2014 William Hill King George VI Chase & 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup - Outright

Al Ferof @ 66/1

Stake : £10.00

Estimated Returns : £

670.00

Transaction Reference:

O/0457483/0001162/F

BET PLACED

If you really want a mad one, what about Cue Card?  Best chaser in training over the King George distance on his day.  Always been a bit unreliable and definitely wants it too soft.   Such a classy animal when on fire.  The Gold Cup is a massive ask for him, but the King George clearly isn't and the combined bet is 66/1 with Hills.   Could be a hell of a sweat after 2.5 miles in the Gold Cup as you are praying he lasts home.

Have flung a free bet at it.

Not happy about leaving this Posh/Donny match bet hanging, given how crap we are.

At the risk of going all Walsall on thread's ass, let's have £40 on Posh to finish in the bottom half, 9-2 with BMU. It's 5-1 with the £800m-valued tiddlarse bookmaking giants, but obv we can't use them. 9-2 is too big anyway.

We play Chesterfield @ their place on Boxing Day, before the big one at home v Donny next weekend.

Fergie is lining up one of his 'out-of-position' masterclasses for Friday and two defeats from two games is very possible.

CMS has been recalled, Maddison still isn't ready, while Nthle and Zakuani both have knocks.

It's looking like RB playing at LB, midfielder playing at RB (Bostwick is one of Fergie's pets, so has to go in somewhere), with one of the trio of strikers who were basically told they're not good enough by the CMS/McLean loan deals brought back in.

Doncaster are around 11-8 to finish in the top half and there might be some mileage in this too, given they play terrible Cov on Boxing Day before coming to our place next Sunday.

But we'll stick with Posh to finish bottom half. It's still such a good bet; we get outclassed against the top teams in the division and outbattled by the stragglers.

Mats Hummels to Man U, 5-1 BMU and 9-2 BF Sportsbook look prices worth taking if paper stories are to be believed.

Polite request...

Would everyone mind not hitting 180s, please?

The cover shot is hugely underrated, IMO. Got to get that odd number score sometime or you can't finish on a double.

Thanks in advance.

I think Chelsea are too short, however I am not convinced there is a decent alternative.

Am on city at 5/2 and whilst I think that the 3 point gap should have the prices closer together (Fwiw I priced this at Chelsea 4/7, city 7/4) there is enough uncertainty about city that probably makes the 9/4 correct.

I'm sure the bookies have factored in toure/mangala form, Lampard future, unfit/injury prone when fit strikers. But forgetting city, Chelsea do not have the uncertainties that city have. The only possible question mark is the fitness/form of Diego Costa, but as a city fan myself, I am probably clutching at straws.

I see BMU have them at 11/4 which I think is value, but be interesting how big a bet you will get at that price before it falls back to 9/4.

Tighty, is Romo worth a cover for MVP, if anyone can get on?

I could only get a couple quid on, or I'd have done it for you.

http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl-specials/regular-season/regular-season-mvp

Packers got a tough one against the Lions coming up, and if they get done, is it inconceivable he has had his losses at the worst possible time?

we don't have a bet on MVP, so have nothing to cover

the Rodgers bet is comeback player of the year, which will be won by Gronk or Rolando McClain

Romo is definitely in the hunt for MVP (better passing rating than rodgers, most accurate qb in the league this year, played through bad injuries, leader etc), but i don't think will win it

a) the pro-cowboys vote will be split between Murray and Romo (and there is a big anti cowboys vote even in the media)

b) the media and fans spent 3-4 years taking the mick out of Romo, so don't expect too many to do the volte face this quickly

I expect it to be Brady or Rodgers

if it was "most outstanding player" then the winner is JJ Watt, as the best player in the NFL irrespective of position but the most valuable (ie they wouldn't win without him) is one of the quarterbacks
