Think thread should be looking to take some big price punts on next Manager of The Delusional Army.
We know what a great businessman Mike Ashley is so he will go for the cheapest man remotely qualified to do the job.
This makes the following seemingly unlikely candidates :
Bruce is fav but would cost an initial compo payment and I'd imagine he's better paid at Hull then we would offer.
I believe Tim Sherwood turned down WBA because they wouldn't let him bring his staff with him, I'd expect this to be a stumbling block.
The Local Rag says Colo was never in the frame and the recent price move on Worthington is false rumours.
Pulis seems no chance since he will want full control which he won't get and a decent salary, gl with that.
Still leaves a bit of a minefied to get thru, but because of they above I think the following are maybe worth a flutter :
£10 @ 20/1 Christophe Galtier BV - May fancy a shot at the prem and salary may just be in reach.
£5 @ 20/1 on Carver seems a decent cover bet for Beardsley as inside recruitment is definitely possible and since Carver has the job for now he seems most likely of those insiders.
Mike Ashley seems very keen on giving jobs to his mates so that also seems a good angle to explore.
FYI I'm a Newcastle fan thus I'm not capable of giving any kind of impartial input but just thought I'd share my thoughts on the matter.
Mondy!
I have no idea of the merits of those suggestions, or how deep in your cheek your tongue may be.
I used to enjoy having my say on the Toon thread, but I know I upset you a bit, so I've not Posted on there since.
I think we should do these 2 bets (if you are serious), as I enjoy your virtual company.

Hearing John Carver had a decent shot. If he performs well in next few games will be offered it. #twitterati
Yeah I should've suggested more for Carver than Galtier.

I genuinely don't have any recollection of what you are referring to that upset me lolz.
Nobody has upset me in any football thread, it's not that important. I think it's a shame that all of the football threads on here seem to know get trolled pretty frequently so haven't bothered getting involved in any of them.
Confirmed serious suggestions, also confirmed I won't stop posting if you don't put the bets on

I was rather hoping you would stop posting if we DID put them on.
The Footie threads do get trolled a bit I suppose, but the lack of balance in them absolutely appals me. To win any debate, each side has to yield a few points first. No Manager, Team, Player, or Chairman is ALL bad or ALL good, but we only hear the extreme ends of the debate. There is real hate there, & I see no reason for that at all.

It's an emotive subject, and I guess it's very hard for fans to be objective.
I can see why you get frustrated, but it amuses me, rather than appalls

ah Mr K
I suspect you have me down as an extremist hater of Mr W?
That would suggest I carry it around with me and it takes over.
You couldn't be further from the truth.
I happily can put the footy thing down between matches and I expect 99.9% of fans do too. If in a debate, then yes, vent some spleen, no point being all blandy bland if your true feelings are stronger. But reality is, it is only paper fury. I see no reason to be appalled.
I certainly have no intention in causing Mr W any harm, and would probably still go all girly if I happened to meet him.
Like Marky, I find great amusement in the threads, but also accept that my contribution may/will also cause amusement too. It's sad to think that you think it's genuine hatred from anyone here posting.

Football threads amuse me to. I genuinley don't try and troll but sometimes I can see it may come across like that but its genuinley because in football your in one camp or the other.
Anyway, I digress I came here to post this.

The 180 bet is toast given virtually every big hitting 180 man is still in. WH now have the line at 624.5.
I can't see the above market on Hills but Sporting Index are quoting 614 - 622 so if we can find the above should we be backing under 624.5?
I know Fred is already on under 599.5 but barring something going massively in our favour that bet is goosed.

I was replying to Mondy, and specifically as to the Toon thread (not Mondy) where there does appear to be real hate, and a complete lack of balance. Not a single person on that thread has even 1% of the depth of football knowledge, or the private ins and outs of how and why Pardew selects his teams. Read that thread, and they genuinely believe they know better than he does. That's illogical and completely impossible. They are butchers, bakers and candlestick makers, not qualified and experienced EPL football club managers. And yes, some of them, literally, hate him.

Happy to go back through the numbers but a press seems like a viable plan to me. Probably a mistake to take the unders early on. Should have anticipated the line going up and might have been able to book a scoop between 600 and 624.
Will have a think but open to suggestions.

No way. Esochomping would be backing over 599. If we were to bet under 625, that would be a
press
, with a possible scoop option. Lewis out now, plus one of Smith and Bunting going tonight.
You esochomp if you want. Tal is not for esochomping.
