Dear Chris Kamara. A defender scoring a header from a corner is not unbelievable. THIS is unbelievable.

Seattle only turned up for the last fifteen minutes. Seattle are the Tottenham Hotspur of footbawl.

Watching Walker doing a Scwartzel, then watching Kaymer doing a Walker, then watching the Packers doing a Kaymer every fortnight is going to give me a heart attack very soon. Time to give up sports betting methinks. My ticker can't handle it.

I placed £5 for Fred on Boyles on Tomic to win 3rd quarter at 16/1 as per Hector's recommendation. Just posting this again because I didn't see a confirmation so making sure it's not missed!

Bostick, a most inapproiate name under the circumstances.

It turns out Bostick was supposed to be blocking on the onside kick so it could be caught behind him.  A mental mistake he took so badly Sports center say he was crying at his locker for 15 minutes after the game. I can't believe Morgan Burnett sat down with 5 mins left to play after making the interception, he had room to run upfield and think that was more of a mistake than a guy trying to catch an onside kick that flys over his head.   The 2 point conversion was ridiculous, was like summat from Friday night lights that. Wilson just threw it up in the air and said a prayer. Seems like Seattle were matched at 400/1 on BF to win the Super Bowl during the game tho I can't see how much was matched.

Men were crying around me, I was shaking too and the noise and atmosphere was incredible. It was an unforgettable game wasn't it?

Daily Report

Profit on Month £206.16

Outstanding Bets £3567.13

Free Bets, one William Hill use by 24th

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=34

It's not too often you have a day with two 14-1 positions, that both trade at 1.01 in running in the final stages of the event, and both lose

Yesterday was that day

In the Abu Dhabi golf, Kaymer led by 10. Nine holes later, he was behind by one. He finished third

net net putting all the golf positions together, we lost £20 including the £34 profit on Kaymer to place

In the the NFC Conference game the Packers led 19-7 with 2.30 to go. The Packers were about to pay the price for playing not to lose, that started in the first quarter (go for it on 4th and 1 at the 1 please), carried on in the second (rush more than two men on 3rd and 19 please), increased in the second half (do not just fall to the floor when you intercept it, field position!) and then got worse with a recovered onside kick, a hail mary two point and ....

well, i needn't go on

We won £80 from the each way portion of the 14-1 Conference bet less the two losing superbowl bets

we managed to lose the points unders having had 19 points in hand with two minutes to go for a loss of £22 too.

Andrew Quarless didn't have a reception and there were no safeties -£29

Anyway, all frustration aside a remarkable game, some comeback and quite a night but as Aaron Rodgers said

“We gave it away.”

Some people went so far as to call the play calling "gutless". I'd be a bit more charitable, I don't think they quite believed they had a chance of winning and tried to hold on rather than go for the kill. Russell Wilson was money in overtime too.

If Kaymer and Packers had won, we'd be £560 better off on the month with a £400 superbowl sweat.

that aside Northampton beat the Ospreys 20-9 for a £19 loss

Overall yesterday, a £12 loss.

ongoing positions

West Ham went 7th after beating Hull 3-0, they are a bet to finish top 10 in the Premier League

Toulouse were beaten for only the fourth time in seven years at home, 35-18 by Bath, a brilliant performance by them, running it from everywhere. With one game to go in the pool stages Toulouse lead with 16 points from Glasgow 15, Bath 14. Toulouse win the group if they go to Montpellier and win

In the Australian Open Tomic won his first round game in four sets

one winner and one loser in the NBA last night. San Antonio Spurs beat the Utah Jazz 89-69. New Orleans Pelicans beat the Toronto Raptors 95-93

Wow. Just wow.

These past weekends had some incredible reverses.

A few times over the weekend I thought about the mantra we have been taught on Blonde about spewing ev to cover bets/laying when almost across the line. I covered Kaymer at 1.02, all the while thinking how stupid I was, with the words of lost EV, mathematically unsound etc, continually coming to the fore.
,
I think if I have a couple of grand locked at 1.01 but for £20  of my £2k, I take all the worry away, I'm doing it every day of the week. I have no doubt over a full career of punting it may not be the long term most profitable solution, but the short term effects of a loss and "feel bad" factor, gotta be far worse.

We have seen enough this weekend, if you had been on the wrong end of some these results you would be a gibbering wreck.

Three big examples in two weeks, means 300 times you gotta wait to break even. Food for thought.

It's been a tough 1st round for the seeds in the bottom half of the women's draw in the Australian Open.

The following have all lost:

Ana Ivanovic (5)
Belinda Bencic (32)
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (23)
Sabine Lisicki (28)
Svetlana Kuznetsova (27)
Angelique Kerber (9)
Lucie Safarova (16)

This means that the odds for Ms Sharapova have shortened without her playing a match so far.
She will play her match about 10am (I expect) once Federer has completed his match against Lu.
It will be covered on Eurosport (Sky ch410).

I wanted to ask about that when it happened, but was a bit scared I'd look a total oaf for not understanding the game. (Fair comment).

Why did he just slide to the ground like that? There was acres of space in front of him, surely another 10 or 15 yards were there for the taking?

The Bostick error was horrible, but I did not like to see him being bollocked by the Coach chap in full view of everyone. That's seemed like horrendous man managament from where I comfortably sit, in my little armchair.
