We have odds!

http://www.bet365.com/home/FlashGen4/WebConsoleApp.asp?cb=103255937446236610

Suggest £20 on Nelson Piquet to win the race. 4/1 is too big, he has been the quickest out there all day!

EDIT: Plus he now starts from 3rd place after Sebastian Buemi has been demoted to 10th for exceeding the allowable power usage.

Good work Moony, well done.

Think we have £20 @ 10/1, but it's win only.

I think we should maybe consider a little saver, or balance the book a bit.

Morning Tikay?  Do you think Wisconsin are too big a price or is £20 too high a stake.

Talking of hedges, since we stopped backing Jordan Spieth he is in outrageously good form.   This is obviously in the price, but our friends at BFSB are offering 7 places and laying a bet.  The 11/1 they are offering matches the exchange price and you basically get an extra place for free.  The exchange is 3/1 5 places and we get 7 places at 11/4.

So it is probably a tiny bit of +EV, but also helps stop that yuck he's winning again feeling I keep getting when I see the results.

Aussie Rules

Good start for GWS bet to make the top 8. Tough win against St Kilda. Dont know if any of you watch AFL (no yellow or red cards here, tough game and very exciting). Essendon were 40 points up and out of sight against Sydney Swans but an unbelievable final quarter saw the Swans end up winning.

Morning David.

Neither, I just think it'd be neat to have a season long sweat for abso nil cost, or maybe even win either way. I don't even know who they play in the Final yet. Nits rule.

Spieth? Well he is a Fred favourite, for sure. Not sure that is reason enough to back him - but I almost certainly would. He'd be an essential component in our Masters portfolio.

the 12-1 has gone.

Jimmy Walker at 25-1 seems like another option, Jason Day also a possibility but a bit less attractive.

I've been watching it for years, I backed Sydney at 4/1 in play yesterday morning as Essendon were always going to fade badly due to the majority of their players having no pre season games under their belt because of the doping case.

You can hardly say that was a good start for the GWS bet, St Kilda are the worst team in the comp and GWS only scraped home and the teams that GWS will be competing against for the top 8 either won (Collingwood, Adelaide, Richmond) or looked good in defeat (Essendon). The only real positive was Gold Coast losing to Melbourne.

It's obviously very early days but let's try and keep a sense of perspective.

The 11/1 has gone I think you mean.  When I said they were laying a bet, I obviously meant they were laying just the one bet!

I wouldn't put you off Jimmy Walker

edit 10/1 7 places or 11/1 5 on Spieth isn't nearly as attractive and probably worth ducking

Dont get the negativity on this site. Good on you for backing the Swans in play. Unfortunately we dont have that option in SA. For what its worth i bet big on Collingwood and Crows this weekend and also have Port in a treble, and also have watched many many years of AFL.  I thought it was a good start for an outside bet but what the hell

Think you definitely need a sense of perspective, one person has made a comment that was barely even critical.

Congrats on the winning start.

Which parts of my post do you disagree with? I hope Port win for you they are a great side to watch, I thought Adelaide looked very impressive from the little I saw of the game.
