Fred has up to £20 with me on QBs if he wants.

at 6/1?

Yes. I am on (be rude not to back my own bets!)

Solemn pronouncement

Tal can still get on with stan and james

a period of reflection is in order

Tal opened an account for Cheltenham and is currently breaking records for longest time a clean account held. Guinness officials have been alerted.

I've managed to get on over the phone even with a restricted online account. Wanted £90 on an 11/4 shot and nearly fell off my char when they said yes so probably worth a try for a 30 second phone call

Tighty,

How many running backs do you think will be drafted in the first round? TfT on?

I was about to ask the same as i really want to back over 2.5 at stan at 5/2 but i appreciate there might be literally only 2 good things and no 3rd guy.

Two good things

Todd Gurley

Melvin Gordon

there may be a third, but i would consider it unlikely.

in part this is because the RB position has been devalued in the NFL, teams can plug and play lesser talents behind good offensive lines

the issue of having a rb for the 5th year of the first contract that plays into drafting developmental QBs early doesn't play so much with a rb, who typically have shorter careers, wear down earlier and few get big second contracts...this is the decision dallas had with demarco murray this off-season

you need to be special to be a rb drafted in the first round and gurley and gordon should be

gurley could be a top ten pick

gordon 26 or 27 at the latest....ravens or cowboys and maybe to the chargers, lions or cardinals before that

gurley is better, a better blocker and receiver. gordon is more of an open field runner than an inside thumper

a 3rd player would be tevin coleman for example, but much more likely to go in the second round

cheers exactly the answer i wanted to just smash into the over 1.5 at hills.  I will take responsiblity for the £100/£225 at hills.  Put it down to me.   Reference it to my previous post today about backing big odds on at a price that is no where near short enough! Just make sure fred gets on.  We don't get many chances to back 1/20 shots at 4/9.  Worthy of a max bet.

I have no idea about the bet.  But if someone tells me who i respect i can back a 1/20 or shorter poke at 4/9 i want to have the max on and so should fred!!!   Perfect timing my big odds on post this morning.  Didn't realise you were going to give a real life example 3 hours later!

the draft industry in the US is huge

thousands of people employed in it

100s of mock drafts, podcasts, tc shows

its now spreading to the UK.

Sky are sending Jim White of SSNHQ out to chicago for the draft on thursday!

covering the draft live too

anyway to give one example from just now

Neil Reynolds ‏@neilreynoldsnfl

Just filed mock draft for http://SkySports.com  1st round features 2 QB, 2 RB, 6 WR, 7 OL, 5 DL, 5 edge rushers and 5 CB. No TE or safeties

which brings me to another one

its not as clear as the Running backs but you can also get 1/2 over 4.5 WRs

cooper, white, devante parker are top 15 picks

perriman is a first rounder

any of strong, dorsett, green-beckham, aglohor could go in picks 16-32

the pivot point on the over/under is simply too low, i'd make it +/- 5.5

the quote means you need one. one plus of these will be a first rounder

after last year's brilliant receiver class, which evidenced that at this position players can come in and star straight away, this class is good too

over 4.5 is another good thing

dobules allowed on these two?  Might as well multiple the huge edge.  Betting over on both should make them slightly negatively correlated if anything as one over will take more positions from the 1st round draft than the other then has access to.  I doubt firms will look at it in that manner though and probably won't allow doubles.

Can't do doubles with 365. Don't see why not though. Like arb says if more than 1.5 QBs are picked, that leaves once less spot.
