http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/natwest-t20-blast/lancashire-v-warwickshire/winner

6.30pm start on Sky Sports

just now from the presenter

"Most of Birmingham Bears stuck on the M6, could miss start of game. Could be an interesting top of the show"

and

"Recordo Gordon & Atiq Javed are here. I've got my kit in the car & our producer is keen. 4 a side?"

this is around 2 hours before the toss when teams need to be in

Warwickshire/Brmingham are a good T20 side, won it last year, won 5 out of 7 this.

Lancashire are no mugs though, won at Durham last night to go 4th in the group table

top 4 through, this is a crucial game

Lancashire at home are 2.44/2.45 on betfair/matchbook against a side with travel problems/probably low prep time

think that is a good price. any county can beat any other county in a one off T20 and birmingham have been backed all day into 4/6 (edit: McCullum's first game.)

i think, trying to check just now, the game is being played on the T20 International pitch from Tuesday, which favoured pace off the ball/spun a bit

typically Lancashire stick a couple of spinners in their team, take pace off the ball. birmingham have jeetan patel one of the top T20 spinners too.

2.45 is an interesting punt on lancs winning the toss, batting setting a target with M6 chaoas as the cherry on top

I think we should have £30 on Tony Bellew to win on points tonight at 5/2. Reasoning given in boxing thread.

Bellew points looks the bet of the night by a distance to me. Bacurin is a big unit having fought at heavyweight. He has only been stopped twice, once by Banks at heavyweight and once by Kudryashov. He managed to last longer than all of Kudryashov's other victims(he has stopped all 18 opponents). It's only a 10 rounder as well which helps.

8.30pm on sky sports, it reads

Bellew is 1/100 outright!

Tony Bellew v Ivica Bacurin Tony Bellew to win by Decision or Technical Decision (Method of Victory - Match) Odds: 5/2 Stake: 30.00 Possible Return:  105.00

Discussed the Southampton & relegation thing a few times, but when are they a bet? Clyne of to Liverpool and Morgan Schneiderlin maybe off to Southampton. This in addition to the Europa League.

There is still 50/1 around, in very many places

Did we find a bet n this, Rich? Think we ought to if the value has not already gone. Sorry, only just got up here.

i have been studiously ignoring ironside each time he has mentioned backing southampton to go down again :-)

mark wrote on the southampton thread

"Nice to see us getting business done early. Too often in the past, we have come back from pre-season tours and then signed 3-4 first teamers a couple of weeks before the season starts.

Pelle, Long, J-Rod, Juanmi, Gallagher looks like plenty of options up front. Work to be done in all other areas. "

doesn't seem to me that a team of

forster
bertrand
fonte
wanyama
ward-prowse
pelle
tadic
mane

with rodriguez to come back, juanmi to come in, long in reserve...and koeman to find more signings is going to be in that much trouble is it?

only natural to expect some regression in finishing position from last season, but relegation?

I watched some of that, & came across a cracking article about it this morning.

Not sure I understand much of this - if anyone cares to enlarge upon it, I'd be grateful - but it all seems jolly interesting.

Why did they boo the Latvian chap?

Knicks fans represented the biggest portion of the audience at Barclays Center. Silver clearly recognized this, and he appeared to smirk a bit as he announced the Knicks’ selection. When the name he read aloud was Kristaps Porzingis — a 7-foot-1 forward from Latvia — the arena erupted.

Not in a good way. The sound was a loud “Ohhh” followed by a cascade of boos.

The London ePrix is on this weekend, the conclusion of the first ever season.

As it's the finale, there are more bookies pricing up this weekend and there is massive value at Sky Gamble and Stan Shames right now. Jean Eric Verne to win the London ePrix @ 15/2! He's one of the fastest in the championship, this is far too high. Suggest £15.

Interestingly it doesn't say if the bet is for race one or two, I'm assuming race one.
