Anyone feeling any love for Roma at 13/2 on Skybet?

17 points behind Juventus last season so its a huge gap to close, but Juve have lost some of their core players (Vidal, Pirlo, Tevez) and the Pogba saga has no end in sight. Recent signing Khedira is out for the first 2 months. Pressure will be on new boy Mandzukic to replicate the goals that Tevez bagged in the league last season.

Roma have added Dzeko and Salah on loan to compliment what is a talented squad (less Gervinho of course). Totti's contract expires in 2016 so this could well be his last season at Roma and maybe last ever season in football....too much of a fairytale to send him off with a winners medal?

They are 2/1 for the league w/o Juventus FWIW.

Edit, 7/1 with Coral looks the best available price.

Goal every other game might be enough this year.  Plenty of the fancied runner hardly off to fast starts.  Going to be an interesting heat this year.

I have had a few ante post bets today on the EPL.  Norwich to go down at 6/4.  Everton top 10 4/7.  Swansea top 10 evens.  Recommend £40/£70 and £50 stakes respectively on each if thread wants to get on.  If you don't like Everton top 10 at 4/7 you can get 11/5 bottom half finish with lolbrokes.  Nice to see coral and lolbrokes arbing large with each other ahead of the merger!  One for the ISA's if you can get lumps on both sides.  Put them in the till and take the 5% risk free on your money for 8 months.  Beats any isa return.

well he got 26 last year and missed a chunk injured

man c look the most dangeorus of the big four don't they?

chelsea are temporarily struggling and costa is injury prone, man u are not looking that prolific, arsenal may end up rotating giroud and walcott..alexis from midfield might be their main threat, kane isn't fit yet

realistically who else is there to make him longer?

someone who is going to get 25+?

Hi Rotund Bloke.

Have you had a bet accepted on Fred before?

All the usual unders on bf/spin quotes point to them being value.  Norwich you have discussed already as being under the cosh.  Think this is the perfect time to get with them after their Sunderland gift.  I struggle to take any team seriously in the EPL with C Jerome as their main striker.  He hasn't exactly made hay in the first two games either.  Everton are miles clear of the pack on the spin points quotes for the midtable clubs and the 4/7 doesn't justify this.  It is also a huge arb with lolbrokes who have them at 11/5 to finish bottom half or just back both for lumps and take the risk free 5%. Cheesy  We have to have a bet one way or the other with a 5 % arb there.  I am open to discussion if people think the lolbrokes side is more value.  Swansea is a smaller bet but just looks slightly wrong.

A very happy City fan Smiley such a great day yesterday, cracking atmosphere (which sadly isn't always the case at the Etihad), and the extended south stand really looks the business. When the north stand gets the same treatment, it will look immense.

Regarding Roma, yeah Tighty it is a hell of a gap from last season. But Juventus losing Vidal, Tevez and Pirlo is akin to Toure, Aguero and Silva all leaving City in the same summer. They've made a couple of decent additions but I don't think they'll have it so easy this time around. 2nd game of the season is Roma vs Juve, could be tasty!

Is there anyone on TFT with a solid grasp of Italian football who could give their thoughts?

Tighty. Not sure if you missed the post or I missed your reply (both possible)...

100% book in an nfl submarket

Will the Buffalo Bills make the playoffs?

Yes 9/4 (Billy Mountains)
No 4/9 (TV's Tony Kendall)

The line on season wins is 8.5 (20/21 over and Evs under). Last season,  the Bills made 9-7 with a much less tolerable offense in a less competitive AFC. The division is nasty but far from insurmountable, as the Jets continue to hover by the self destruct button and Miami are no better on paper at least than Buffalo, still having the least effective home bias in footbawl. The Pats will do what the Pats do, but 9-7 may well be enough this season, as the best teams (New England and Denver) aren't as far ahead and the weaker teams (Jacksonville, Oakland) are more competitive.

Bias or no bias, Buffalo are in the top ten teams in the AFC. The question is how good will the teams finishing second in their division be? Only two of four can progress. The Colts should dominate their division and I can't see Houston getting 10 wins this time around. In the West, The Chargers look like a busted flush at the moment, rather than a franchise making progress. Denver will lose games but should win their division.

The danger may again be in the North, where three teams may finish with 8-8 or better. I am personally keen on the Bengals, but I look around the conference and do question whether Buffalo might be the team that makes the playoffs this year.

At 9/4, does anyone fancy being a Bills fan?

Market still available on these terms.

FWIW, I don't think Manuel will start under center now. He's a clear third at present.

There are several, & with apologies to those I have forgotten, horseplayer & maldini32 spring to mind.

The ground looks pretty good now, with that new stand thing. I heard they set a new attendance record yesterday, too, 54,000 was it? You could be a big club soon at this rate.

Yeah was north of 54k there yesterday. Good to see the away bit stretched across 3 tiers, apparently this configuration is the least effective for visiting fans. I'm glad some thought and research was put into it by the powers that be.

I'm sure I don't need to remind you Tikay that City hold the record for a home crowd in England, set all the way back in the 30's when you'd have been a little nipper. No 'istory and all that Wink

Hopefully one of the names mentioned can shed some light.

i can't see the bills winning the division without a quarterback

i know the defense looks nasty and the hope is a huge run game with shady mccoy, but i have my doubts about mccoy

the best i can see is 9-7/8-8 and a wild card

two wild card spots, have to reckon one at least is coming from the AFC North and possibly two with 3 very good looking teams in that division, maybe one from the west.....

i'd far rather be on No than yes but that is what the price is telling me.

no bet for me
