That Bournemouth GK thing is horrendous. Tell the guy to put the ball on the spot and then let me move it one meter. Either enforce it strictly or not at all man.

Also the other two major decisions absolutely awful, but as a Benteke, Henderson and Clyne fan for FPL reasons I'm ok with it Wink

Absolutely, that's the boyo. Went sulky again pre-season at the Smoggies by all accounts, wanting another move. So much ability.

Regarding Tomlin, someone on a Fantasy Football forum I'm on made the following observation;
"On another note, how is Lee Tomlin a Premier League player? He looks as if his sweat smells like Bensons and snakebite. He looks knackered and he's only been on the pitch 10 mins"

I have had a few ante post bets today on the EPL.  Norwich to go down at 6/4.  Everton top 10 4/7.  Swansea top 10 evens.  Recommend £40/£70 and £50 stakes respectively on each if thread wants to get on.

give us the thinking behind these please? obvious enough i suppose, but you never know

All the usual unders on bf/spin quotes point to them being value.  Norwich you have discussed already as being under the cosh.  Think this is the perfect time to get with them after their Sunderland gift.  I struggle to take any team seriously in the EPL with C Jerome as their main striker.  He hasn't exactly made hay in the first two games either.  Everton are miles clear of the pack on the spin points quotes for the midtable clubs and the 4/7 doesn't justify this.  It is also a huge arb with lolbrokes who have them at 11/5 to finish bottom half or just back both for lumps and take the risk free 5%. Cheesy  We have to have a bet one way or the other with a 5 % arb there.  I am open to discussion if people think the lolbrokes side is more value.  Swansea is a smaller bet but just looks slightly wrong.

i can't do everton, we haven't got the money for it on coral

evens Swansea has gone too

there is plenty of 6/4 norwich about though

Single - Barclays Premier League 2015/16

Norwich - Relegation betting

Odds: 6/4

1 lines at £40.00 per line

Total Stake for this bet: £40.00

Potential Return:£100.00

Time : 18/8/2015-09:10

Receipt No:O/142640973/0000957

by the by, Stoke are 9/4 to win at Norwich this weekend. after last weekend's miscues, i hesitate to mention it, but 9/4?

Coral are out to 4/1 for Chelsea to win the league. Do we think it's fair enough given their poor pre-season/start to season or an over-reaction? I'd be in the latter camp.

I believe Mr Camel was of the view that at 4/1, he'd be backing up the truck.

I don't know enough about football to have much of a view, but I do think Jose has remarkable tenacity, & won't concede the title easily. The nettle named John Terry is a seriously difficult one to grasp, but he never hesitated on Sunday. It now emerges that Terry was warned after the Swansea game that it might well happen. Not too many managers could deal with that awkward issue so decisively.

This is what you were on about.

Would think two things could happen

Chelsea spend a shedload before the window

Or

Everything falls apart a bit JM sulks and leaves noting his hands were tied and he could not buy anyone

One way 7/2 would look big depending who they buy but then they also potentially lose their strongest asset.

Could be way wrong of course

Option B is viable but, unless it all goes completely mammories skywards, they'll still be competitive. A silly loss of two points against a spirited Swansea and beaten by a peak performance Citeh. It shouldn't be panic stations. Jose has the dressing room still, surely?

For once I agree with the sour Portuguese man.

City were the best team in the first half, but Chelsea were clearly the better in the second.

Hazard puts away his chance, which he would have done 9/10 the game ends 1-1.

4/1 is the price I wanted when the match ended. 7/2 is tempting, but I'm going to stand firm.

Anyone chalks up fours in the week ahead, I'm in like flynn.

Horsey wasn't enamoured with the 7/2 FWIW.

I think 4/1 is a big price personally and advocate we have a good bet at that price.

This was my starting post

Big statement of intent here from City.

Imperious performance.

However, if Chelsea are 7/2 after this for the title, they're at their lowest ebb right now, know where they need to recruit and will improve. That kind of price, if it gets chalked up, would feel to me like an overreaction.

Views?

Edit: Billy Mountain is right in there at 7/2
