still agree though they would have been borderline bottom 3 at best with Wilson and a mostly fully fit squad
With 3 ACLS they are going to need all of their Jan signings to come off to have a chance methinks

For those wanting an interest in the London game this afternoon,
I really like the Lions against the spread today.
Having cleared out an offensive coaching unit with an insanely predictable playbook, the Lions will do sensible things this weekend like not always throwing on first down to the same player. The Chiefs have improved slightly over the last couple of weeks in defense but they can't be such significant favourites over Detroit.
If you want a first touchdown player, Eric Ebron is emerging as a credible threat this season and the quarterback, Matthew Stafford, has been finding his hands regularly in dangerous situations. Three touchdowns this season and I can certainly see him getting a fourth today, as he will never be double marked in the End Zone while Megatron and Tate are around.
16/1 first touchdown is worth an Ayrton Senna.
Spread was slightly less generous than needed. Only slightly.
Ebron was open for the opening touchdown in the end zone when Stafford was sacked. Never mind.
Gets better. I backed Calvin Johnson over 85.5 yards today. He got 85 then got injured.
At least I didn't celebrate because I'd written wrongly down 80.5...

I made a small profit on the F1 today, not sure the thread did though sadly
Not being able to get on the two group bets really hurt us!

Bournemouth got at least 6 first choice players not playing
Good second half even allowing against 10
they were better side in 2nd half well before the red card
saints were lucky to get away with clean sheet
My personal opinion is that Bournemouth would have stayed up with something to spare. Give 4/5 of their top players season ending injuries and they are stuffed. Still think Arter and Ritchie are class though.

For those of you on the two F1 spreads, my points predictions were as follows:
Currently / Mexico / Brazil / Abu Dhabi / Total
Force India 102 12 20 4 138
McLaren 27 0 4 1 32
Force India got 10 today, McLaren 0. So that means the predictions are now 136 for Force India and 32 for McLaren.
Site currently has Force India priced at 133-136. I need to think about this one

Guys, bit confused here:
https://www.sportingindex.com/spread-betting/motor-racing/formula-1-formula-1-season-markets/mm4.uk.meeting.5057058/formula-1-2015-constructors-season-points
You can sell Mercedes at 718. They're currently on 617 with a maximum of 86 available (2 races) .. what am I missing?

The spread quotes were based on 20 race schedule. There was no German GP so only 19 races therefore totals will be pro rated up.

So will that apply to our Force India and McLaren season spreads too, Bazza ?

Good news for the 'Sunderland to finish bottom' bet coming from Goodison Park.
Big Sam or not, they are a truly awful team.
We just need Villa to get something on Monday to make it an excellent weekend.

Are you not on the Sunderland to finish bottom coup or are you burdened with a conflict of interests here?

Settlement Day
Sorry this is late, been fearfully busy today, & I'll be AWOL all tomorrow, too.
If Fred owes you for any bets, please let me know, & I'll get them paid on Tuesday.
If you owe Fred any cash for winning bets in October, & it's less than, say, £100, please hang on to it, as it may be useful for future bets if you feel able to help again.
Quick shout outs to Chompy for that extraordinary weather bet, Alun Welsh Bloke B for the RWC Top Try Scorer (we got 50/1 the place I believe, ooohh) & horsey for Found (?) @ Keeneland.
PS - Are we on Arsenal to win the Premier League?

I've spent the last 3 hours traipsing through stats, injuries and match ups across the league (because what else would you be doing on a Sunday morning before Andrew Marr starts?) and there's not an awful lot grabbing my attention. Bye weeks and close matchups, with big players either injured or returning from injuries, combine to make some games pretty tough for the punters and the bookies' 10% edge looms over us like a monstrous, Halloween shadow.
Nevertheless, a contrarian play has stuck its neck out gingerly.
The Dallas Cowboys are (checks that Tighty isn't around...) in rather a mess at the moment. Their running back threw a wobbly in the week and the team is struggling to remind itself it made the playoffs last year.
It is, however, fifth in the league against opposing Tight Ends (41 yards per game). Jimmy Graham plays for the Seattle Seahawks and he's rather good. Seattle have started to throw the ball to him, too. That's made the news all across the NFL and everyone knows he managed 131 receiving yards the other week.
However, he will be heavily watched this weekend by a team that is good at doing that. 5 out of 7 times this season, Graham has gone number the 60.5 yards the Shouty red man is offering. This feels like a good UNDER.
If we can't get a bet on with them, under 58.5 with Billy Mountain is fine.
Seattle v Dallas. Jimmy Graham under 60.5 receiving yards. £33 at 10/11.
After three quarters of barely getting a look in, 3 receptions for 31 yards in the fourth quarter took Graham to 75 yards, thereby scuppering our bet.
