The Brady performance gives that bet two shots at the place.

Yes. Double check my numbers if you would, Tighty. I'm working off various apps and I'd hate to fluff it up by a crucial yard.

so the first thing we need, is for Palmer to pass for 229 yards to get the each way.  Scooping might be a tall order against the Seahawks.
Hopefully, this will be a high scoring game.

That's fair, although Palmer did throw for 363 when he played in Seattle a few weeks ago. We want a high scoring game, ideally one in which Seattle go ahead and Arizona have to chase.

329 for the win if I've got this right.

Well you got your wish - Seattle are way ahead, and Arizona gave to chase.

That's the easy bit then.....

True. We need the head coach to bring out the hairdryer at half time and inform the offense they need to do much better. 92 yards, just coming to the end of the first half.

The Panthers, having struggled early, have scored in quick succession to lead 24-3.

On the plus side, Rivers has just 57

129 now.  Go go go

Cheers Arb for the Lewis +3.5 Gl thread on the Carson bet didn't do it myself but cheering on for you guys.

Was stealing cash imo given their respective averages.  Should have been a 1/5 shot.

Palmer goose is cooked, barring injury to Philip Rivers, as he'll pick up the remaining yards to overtake our man in the next half.

Not the sort of twists and turns I was hoping for, to be completely honest with you all.

Yeah, good stuff.

Stole back some of the dough they nicked off me on the averages, and dutch coups.

So much punting to be done, in such a short period of time.

Love the darts!

I think its like shelling peas honestly.  The markets are full of cash on betfair but so many of them are wrong.  Chomps will disagree obviously as usual.  The bf sp is always right blah blah blah.  Darts is the biggest % of mug punter cash in the markets sport in the world imo (why is every single darts event sponsored by a bookmaker?  Ever thought to think about it?)  Even more so on the off when the wagons really get stuck in.  There are thousands of huge football judges.  I can't have there are more than 50 proper darts judges in the world yet tens of millions is bet on it every day it is on tv.

It does make me laugh when horse racing demands betting firms pay the levy and become official betting partners in order to allow them to spend THEIR money on sponsoring the horse racing product.  Horse racing has no power now over bookmakers.  Barry Hearn provides the perfect product for bookmakers to iron out wagons and that's why they all want to spend their money with him rather than dance to horse racing's more and more incredibly redic demands.  Horse racing needs to be very careful imo.  They don't have anywhere near the power they think they do in the global betting market in 2015 that they think they do.

1. Drew Brees: 4870
2. Philip Rivers 4792
3. Tom Brady 4770
4. Carson Palmer 4671

Yep. Think that covers it.

Next case.

What an anti-climax that was Simon, a nasty way to lose the bet.

We had some right fun though, over 17 (?) weeks, & it was cracking value, one of the most fun value bets we have ever had.

Don't be kicking yourself, it happens.

Sport is glorious, in so many ways.

Gonna have to disagree with you there Mr Argue. I don't like to, as I don't have all day to argue with Argue, but you must have been on the source when you penned that.

I'm not at all convinced margins on darts are much different to other sports.

As to the size of the betting market on Darts, it is miniscule compared to football, horse racing & tennis. Significant, yes, but small beer in the greater scheme of things. It does not occur with the same frequency, either, there is football, gee-gees & tennis 7 days per week, but there are barely 60 days per year of decent, "bettable" Darts.

Bookmakers sponsor darts because....

1) It is Televised.

2) The nature of the game & venue allows prominent multi-position fixed advertising which is embedded on TV coverage for around 3 hours per night. That's worth a LOT of money.

The income/profit/acquisition from Darts Betting would not even begin to cover the costs of Sponsorship, & it's not even close. The value lies in the sustained (3 hours per night?) TV exposure to the brand.

Quite simply, it's a magnificent advertising vehicle, & nothing to do with profitability of the darts market.

Hard to get better exposure for a brand than this.......

Absolutely. All of that.

Brees missed a game earlier in the season through injury and Brady was due to miss the first four games through suspension. Against that, Andrew Luck of the Colts and Ben Roethlisberger of the Steelers would both have been prime contenders, had they not suffered significant injuries.

I will resist the urge to spend the day in 'so the flop came..." mode

I'd like a quid for every time I have had to read or listen to....

"I had A-K v A-Q, win that & I half the chips in play, bla bla".....

Bet I read that 5 times daily, minimum.

They always forget to add "lose that & I'm out".

The buzz of a gamble, ain't it great?

Big Bash this morning is Hurricanes (10/11) v Renegades (11/10). The Hurricanes have won the last 3 compared to The Renegades losing 3 on the bounce. We could do with The Renegades getting a win to put some points between them and The Heat at the bottom after The Heat's win yesterday. With Gayle, Finch, Bravo et al on our side, it's possible.

Unlucky Tal (and followers) but what a sweat!  Was rooting for you all the way.  Have to admire an 80/1 bet that goes all the way to the wire.
