Just logged into my FC account, so I could order a new card, and that was painful viewing.

Ordered at $1.6470 in 2014 :/

Afternoon Mr T.

Over 2 years ago I was perusing the Fred spreadsheet and I noticed that tennis was several hundreds pounds in the hole. I had put some tennis bets up on occasion but there was no one really doing it to any great degree any more. I set myself the target, with no real specialist knowledge of tennis other than the belief that Andy Murray couldn't play on clay, of wiping out the debt and making tennis profitable. I think my hours of having to practice place kicking on my own attracted me to the idea that I could take on the solo challenge. I also loved the hoohah over the Solaris tennis staking thread. Only on Blonde could it have been outed as a grim, and for the outing to encourage even more potential investors desperate to chuck money at him - happy days indeed.

Anyway, with last nights victory by the British No 2, tennis is now in profit to the tune of £17.27 and your problem will be how to spend it. I also hadn't envisioned how emotive some people seem to find tennis betting, and how that would cause me to take 9 months away from putting any tennis tips up.

I am pretty certain I will continue with tennis tipping as it seems to have gone quite well IMO, but I may have to find another challenge to go with it, maybe basketball.

Sorry for rambling Mr T but I just didn't want this milestone to go unmarked, but I bet Mr Novice had noticed.

You what?Huh?
You knew nothing about tennis and you decided to become a profitable tipster at it? And then you did, to a ridiculously high standard? You're just able to do that? Because you wanted to? That's crazy.
Long may it continue but how about you look into currency dealing or the stock market?
I would love to see tips like;
"I really think Apple are over priced. I think they are a sell over the next couple of months. On the other hand, Cola Cola look ridiculously undervalued at the moment.
Also due to a bumper coffee harvest in Viet Nam, I think the Vietnamese Dong is a currency we should be currently buying."

Not at all into tennis before. The only sport I would claim to have a detailed knowledge on is rugby union, but that knowledge is dissipating as I become ever more disillusioned with it.

Could anyone find me a link to the Solaris thread please ?

i am afraid it got hot and was removed

as hector implied it was one of the most remarkable things i have seen in ten years on blonde

the guy put himself up as a tennis tipster, started a thread and produced some results. he attracted a following and soon asked for investment.

it started going wrong, he disappeared and was cross-referenced to elsewhere as a "grimmer"

on discovering this some posters offered more staking "for the sport" if he came back.

He came back, some cheered but others were very anti and it all went bananas in a welter of recrimination

Startling stuff
