Sounds like Rob Elliot been badly injured tnite, if price on Newcastle relegated hasn't already moved could be value there, we have no experienced GK now.

GG us Sad

Yeah stretchered on 15, cant be good. Darlow?

I think Darlow was 2nd choice at the start of the season. When Krul got injured, Darlow was also injured and Elliot got the place by default.

WT20 semi-final tomorrow, there is a bet I like ( no good for Fred, only has a market)

Ish Sodhi to have the best economy rate at 3/1 looks solid. Tournament economy rate of 4.97 is outstanding, career rate of 6.24 is good also. Hasn't played many games so small sample size but no team has looked like getting after him all tournament.

Rashid is somehow favourite for the market (conceded 104 from his 11 overs this tourney, career T20I econ rate of 8.12) so looks worth taking on. Santner looks the danger (tournament 5.73, career 6.06) but it's likely he'll bowl in the powerplay and could then go for boundaries whilst he doesn't have protection. That could just swing things in Sodhi's favour. Sodhi being a wrist spinner is also a slight plus point, with English batsman being more at home against orthodox spinners.

Other 3 in the market are Willey, McClenaghan and Stokes. All have worst tournament/career stats and will bowl at the tough times of the innings (up front/ at the death).

No oddschecker link I'm afraid.

Darlow would be cover unless we were allowed a emergency GK (should be easy to research this as we were in this situation not too long ago and I believe that time we weren't allowed) and his sole outing this season he didn't have a great game and made an error for the goal when we lost 1-0.

Most disappointed tikay didn't ask for questions for Audley "The A-Force" Harrison for his telly show.

How is Rashid favourite?  Without even looking at the numbers he is accepted as "wicket taking but expensive" isn't he?

Edit:  to refine my point, I agree if Rashid is favourite there must be significant value elsewhere.

Likewise although I'm sure our questions wouldn't of overlapped.

Anna did ask him if Fury-Klitschko 2 will be happening. We've an outstanding bet on Klitschko to be Fury's next opponent. The answer is it will be going ahead, we're just waiting on a date and venue to be announced.

Yeh, I couldn't fathom it. I'm Sure he was favourite previously against Badree, who's lifetime econ rate is 5.5. Can't even be that they went with spinner from the side who are favs to win the game as NZ are marginal favs.

Having seen enough of both, how can I put this..? He was a much better boxer than he was a dancer.

He get's a bad rep does Sir Audley. Look at him tonight, the man is still racking up wins against experienced pro's.

Thoughts on Ish Sodhi to be top wicket taker today? He is 1 wicket behind Santner over all, but I dont think England have seen that much of him, and certainly dont see that much Leg Spin in general. Personally think he could cause mayhem in our batting lineup today.

Can be found at 11/2 on 888.com

Recommend £30 on Ish Sodhi to be top wicket taker.

NOT a tip for Tikay, but certainly some inside info (from a Celtic fan over in Prague)...

Quote
Tip of the day - Slavia women to beat Lyon women

Last week, Slavia Women lost 9-1 to Lyon in France in the Champions League Qtr final. The Lyon women are professional, the Slavia team are amateurs. And there is a bigger budget for Lyon women than there is for Slavia men. Tonight is the return leg. Slavia are 70/1 to win, 20/1 for a draw.

I am currently in Prague, and last night, the Lyon football team were in my hotel. And they were getting properly bevvied up last night, why wouldn't they, they're not going to surrender an 8 goal advantage. This morning at breakfast, some of the players were down there and they were getting fired into waffles, pancakes and bryndza (a fatty as fuck sheep's cheese). I went back to my room to collect my luggage before leaving, and on my landing, there were fellas in Lyon tracksuits banging on the doors to wake the players up.
When I went downstairs, a handful of women were on the bus, a few were grabbing hold of some pastries, but I would wager the vast majority of them were still in bed. They are definitely not taking this game seriously.

So I am gonna be on a win for Lyon, fill your boots people.

I might put a couple of quid on for fun, although best odds I've found are 30-1 on VC.

Looks foul on the Thames. Women's race is brutal. We must be on if it's like that in 50 minutes.

It's that bad, could it not go past the 19 mins? 14/1 on Corals.

Just about to post!

Women were 2 mins 2 seconds slower than last year. They took a very wide line twice (to avoid the rotten waters) so covered more distance.

I've been restricted to £7. Good luck, Fred! Definitely a bet tho.

Managed £10, if the thread wants a £5er of that as a cover bet more than welcome for the fun (and funds) I've has since discovering it a couple of weeks back.

Morning Rod,

Sorry for the late reply, I'm extremely busy elsewhere right now.

Do I owe you any money for this? If so, let me know & I'll sort it.

Really pleased to hear you are enjoying Fred, that's the WHOLE idea, which, sadly, is something that many don't seem to grasp.

It gets a little warm in here at times, but as one who used to moderate the football threads back in the day, I'm pretty sure it'll be water off a duck's back to you.

Have you had a Recommend placed by Fred yet? You need to, to join the club, so to speak.

we dont have 888 at the moment sorry

i would want to see the pitch first anyway.

last sunday for eng/sri lanka the curator had watered and the pitch was green. 7 of 10 wickets fell to the quicks. our spinners got carted from delhi to mumbai. no spin, no purchase, no pace in the pitch. in the dead rubber on monday 6 of 9 fell to quicks, and that was on a used pitch.

sodhi and santner have bowled at nagpur, dharmasala, mohali and kolkota. four slow low dry turners. Ideal conditions for them

Yes, england struggle against spin and leg spin in particular.
