No don't think so a man you have posted admiration of in the past...

No more teasing need to write up this Shrewsbury game. Going to be hard not to write about wigan.

https://t.co/D0OoBwHC8K

His first runner since 2007

Good grief, how lovely. Where has he been, why did he disappear?

The whole Dickinson family remind me of my early forays into punting on horses, going back to, I guess, 45 years. The Dickinsons ruled NH racing for some years, they had a Mullins type dominance, with Tony (Dad) & Monica (Mum) running the stable, & Michael (son) the jockey. Michael learned his craft as an apprentice with the GOAT, Vincent O'Brien. Michael then stopped riding & took over the licence, though Monica remained the force behind the scenes for a while.

In the '84 Cheltenham Gold Cup he had an astonishing first 5 home, 1-2-3-4-5, in fact I think only 6 finished iirc. One Boxing Day he sent out no less than 12 winners. I would have backed every one, as was my habit. And several other losers, no doubt. Gay Spartan & Silver Buck were probably my 2 favourite steeplechasers ever, though KYBO would not be far behind, ditto Tingle Creek & Analog's Daughter.

Gosh, you've started me off now.  Best stop.

He has mainly been too busy selling and installing Tapeta across the world with great joy.

Tapeta   Michael Dickinson, Inc.   United States   Sand, fibre, rubber and wax makes up the top 4-7 inches of the racing surface, installed on top of either porous asphalt or a geotextile membrane.
Spreyton
Golden Gate Fields
Albany, California
Berkeley,
Presque Isle Downs
Wolverhampton
Woodbine

Not too popular in the states as it is generally accepted to be kinder on horses and helps support towards a drug free sport something Dickinson is in favour of. Interesting his quotes in that article about walking the track for "kinder ground"

Sorry Tikay! http://tapetafootings.com/ hell of a website if you have all day/week.

It did not last more than two seasons in Dubai before they ripped it out and went back to dirt, mainly because the Europeans were winning to many races rather than anything against the surface.

Hi all,

Here are my pre-race bet suggestions:

Points Finish - Sergio Perez
@ 11/8 with Brokes - starts way down the grid in 18th due to a operational error in qualifying. However, this still represents value, he should carve his way through the field. Suggest £20.

Leader After 1st Lap - Sebastian Vettel
@ 13/2 with Vicktor and Hills - bookies clearly haven't learned from the last race! Suggest £20.

On to the spreads:

Button/Perez Match Bet - Sell at - 1.5. As long as Sergio has a trouble free race, he will finish ahead of Jenson. Suggest £5.

Magnussen/Palmer - Buy at 3. Kevin does start from the pit lane, but his team mate Palmer only starts 19th. I would expect Magnussen to win out in this battle. Suggest £5.

Elsewhere;

Vettel at 28/5 with the exchange for the race win is a bet, if you haven't already done it per my previous suggestion. Also, a Haas double points finish at 14/1 with betaway is a good spot, but I think this would be palped:

I would have also given him some grief, but because his scarf says "Premiership" at the bottom rather than "Premier League". #OCD

I see no problem with the idea behind the scarves though, Leicester had this title wrapped up weeks ago. They're probably not going to drop four/seven points for the rest of the season, let alone four/seven more than Tottenham ..

Cheers Peter. For those of us without Spread accounts, I presume Bw!n's 2.02 for Magnusson vs Palmer is a bet? 365 have Jolyon Palmer at 2.1 for if anyone fancies the little arb.

No worries!

Meh, I don't believe in fate like that. Leicester will, or will not, win the league, regardless of if anyone buys those scarfs or not  Tongue

Another win for Roma, beating city rivals Lazio 1-4.

10 points behind Juventus with 7 games to play, it's a tough ask. But stranger things have happened.....
