http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/mens/mens-wimbledon-2017/winner

Not sure i would want to be laying 14/1 Raonic for next year's wimbledon.  GL Stan.  Corals 7/1 looks much closer to the mark.  One of the few in the field with a chance who is open to any amount of improvement still.

Wouldn't mind betting Djok, Murray and Raonic coupled at 1/3 either at those best prices if i could do it on credit.

So with some 7 places out there, plenty of 6 places and a host of sub markets, who should be on the thread's list for Troon this week across all markets?

As stated before US Open, I thought when Dustbin finally took a big one down he would kick on. He did, and I think he could go in again, and will continue to play up until he shows sign of stopping his progression.

One I am keen on is local(ish) boy Chris Wood, who is in sparkling recent form. He is currently 5th/6th in The Race to Dubai.

He finished 11th at the French Open/ 23rd at US Open/ 6th In Austria and before that won the BMW.

He has a great Links record, seems to fare well in the Open previously and at 100-1 with Koral 7 places looks a good place to start. I am also keen to get him onside for top Euro at 28-1 with 369. I did consider Top English at 12-1 but I feel most of the players I was worried about in the Euro market are nearly all English anyway!

£15 ew 100-1

I was impressed with the manner in which Danny Lee tackled links golf last week at Castle Stuart.

I snaffled some of the 150/1 when it was going but 125/1 with good place terms is still attractive.

I have also been impressed by Padraig Harrington's game these last few weeks and grabbed some 200/1 when it was there.

I still think that 125/1 with enhanced place terms makes some appeal.

Recommend adding a Lady Godiva EW on each of these two to The Open portfolio:

Danny Lee @125/1
Padraig Harrington@125/1

one of my best mates has been a full time caddie, all be it lower level  for years. he was very successful on the senior tour working with carl mason for 4 or 5 seasons.

he then moved to the challenge tour with various people, and has now settled with jack senior, and i am chuffed for him that last week they qualified for the open. neither of them have ever played a major, they missed qualification last year by one shot. spoke to mate last night and he says that links course is very suited to his game. he is presently in denmark where he is sat in 3rd place after two rounds of 67, so showing decent form in last competition before the open.

suggest a small banzai at 750/1 if any of you are looking for a few huge price small stakes each way bets.

Sky 1000/1 about Jack Senior and 7 places now so this was a good home for my free bet expiring tomorrow!

good luck, unfortunately it looks like we may well need it. just spoke to mate and he said that jacks back is causing him some grief. still only monday so fingers crossed.

my pal likes a bet so i asked his opinion on any big priced outsiders he likes. these are not recommendations for fred. am just passing on what he fancies in case any one is looking for some small stakes fun.

andrew johnston. paul dunne. paul howard as long odds darts.

he also really likes soren kledsden.

Best Golfing Tipster out there, Jerry Chapman, put up Wood and Dustbin as selections this morning in The Outlook so the 100-1 was never going to last. Dirty little scamp really should do his own homework though. Wink

Wood went out on the course today at 2.30pm, did not have a tee-time reserved on any other day from Sunday on.

It's not impossible that he joined another game.

<edit> Not today, the 2.30pm tee-time is for tomorrow.
